Key Responsibilities:

  1. Cost Planning & Estimating:

  2. Prepare cost estimates for construction projects based on detailed analysis of design and specifications.

  3. Develop and monitor cost plans throughout the project lifecycle.
  4. Advise on cost-effective solutions and value engineering options.

  5. Contract Management:

  6. Negotiate and administer contracts with clients, contractors, and subcontractors.

  7. Ensure compliance with contractual terms and conditions.
  8. Manage any contract variations or disputes and resolve issues promptly.

  9. Procurement:

  10. Oversee the procurement process, ensuring that tenders, contracts, and project documentation are prepared accurately.

  11. Work with the procurement team to select contractors and suppliers based on cost, capability, and quality.

  12. Cost Control:

  13. Monitor and control project costs, ensuring that they align with the budget.

  14. Track project expenditure and identify any potential cost overruns or savings.
  15. Prepare financial reports for stakeholders, including cost-to-complete forecasts.

  16. Risk Management:

  17. Identify and assess financial risks associated with the project.

  18. Develop strategies to mitigate risks related to cost overruns, delays, or legal issues.

  19. Cash Flow Management:

  20. Oversee the cash flow of the project to ensure timely payments to contractors and suppliers.

  21. Ensure accurate invoicing and documentation for payments.

  22. Project Reporting:

  23. Provide regular updates and reports to senior management, clients, and other stakeholders.

  24. Analyze project performance, and propose adjustments where necessary.Role & responsibilities
