About the CompanyZolo is India’s largest co-living and managed accommodations brand, operating across multiple verticals – Co-Living, Hotels, Student Housing, Hostels, and Vacations.We are scaling fast, and our people practices are the backbone that keep 2,000+ employees engaged, compliant, and productive.Role SummaryAt Zolo, we believe smooth and efficient HR Operations are the backbone of a great employee experience.We’re looking for a Manager – HR Operations who will own the entire employee lifecycle – from onboarding to exits, ensuring that every process is seamless, compliant, and people-friendly.You won’t just be maintaining processes; you’ll be building them from the ground up – creating scalable systems for onboarding, payroll inputs, compliance, and employee data management that support our fast-growing workforce of 2,000+ employees across multiple businesses (Co-Living, Hotels, Student Housing, Hostels, Vacations).This is a career-defining role for someone who wants to shape how people experience work at Zolo. You’ll partner with business leaders and the People & Culture team to drive process excellence, enable compliance, and deliver insights that influence real business decisions.Key ResponsibilitiesHR Operations & Employee LifecycleOwn end-to-end HR operations – from onboarding to exits, ensuring seamless execution of processes.Partner with IT/Admin/Finance to ensure smooth Day-1 experience for new hires.Maintain & update HRMS / HRIS systems for accurate employee data.Oversee payroll inputs, documentation, probation, confirmation, and exit processes.Drive process improvements and reduce TAT for key employee lifecycle steps.Compliance & PolicyEnsure statutory compliance – PF, ESIC, Gratuity, Shops & Establishment, Po SH, etc.Stay updated with labor laws and adapt policies as needed.Prepare and support audits with accurate reports and documentation.Ensure policy communication and consistent implementation across all locations.Employee Engagement & SupportAct as the first point of contact for employees for queries, grievances, and policy clarifications.Partner with managers for probation reviews, performance reviews, and separations.Support the People & Culture team in improving the overall employee experience.Analytics & ReportingBuild and share HR dashboards – headcount, attrition, leave, compliance, and other key metrics.Provide data-driven insights to leadership for better decision-making.Identify trends (e.g., early attrition, onboarding gaps) and recommend solutions.What We’re Looking ForEducationMBA/PGDM in HR (Tier-1 or Tier-2 colleges preferred)Strong foundation in core HR OperationsSkills & Experience3–5 years of hands-on experience in HR OpsKnowledge of labor laws, HR compliance, and payroll inputsProficiency in HRMS tools & data reportingExperience in performance review coordination, employee engagement & grievance handlingStrong communication skills – able to explain policies clearly and resolve employee concerns effectivelyA problem-solver who can design processes that scalePersona TraitsEmpathy: Handles employee concerns with care and fairnessIntegrity: Maintains confidentiality and does what’s right even in tough situationsApproachability: Builds trust and is easy for employees at all levels to approachPeople-First Mindset: Believes that great employee experience leads to better business outcomes
