About the Role:

We are looking for a detail-oriented and proactive Accounts Payable/Receivable (AP/R) Professional to oversee our end-to-end payables and receivables function. The ideal candidate should be a semi-qualified Chartered Accountant (CA Inter) with strong experience in managing accounting operations, compliance, vendor/customer relationships, and team supervision.

Key Responsibilities:

Accounts Payable (AP):

  • Manage end-to-end accounts payable process including invoice verification, approvals, booking, and timely payments.
  • Ensure compliance with GST, TDS, and other statutory requirements while processing payments.
  • Reconcile vendor statements and resolve discrepancies in a timely manner.
  • Negotiate payment terms and maintain strong vendor relationships.
  • Monitor ageing of payables and ensure adherence to company policies.

Accounts Receivable (AR):

  • Oversee invoicing, collections, and credit control for customers.
  • Monitor ageing reports and follow up with customers for timely collections.
  • Reconcile customer accounts and address disputes or deductions promptly.
  • Ensure revenue recognition is in line with accounting standards and policies.

General & Team Management:

  • Prepare monthly AP/AR MIS reports for management review.
  • Ensure proper documentation and audit trails for all AP/AR transactions.
  • Support statutory, tax, and internal audits with required reconciliations.
  • Supervise and guide the accounts team members handling AP/AR processes.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams (Procurement, Sales, Operations) for process improvements.

Key Skills & Competencies:

  • Strong knowledge of accounting principles, GST, TDS, and compliance.
  • Proficiency in ERP systems (SAP/Oracle/Tally/NetSuite preferred).
  • Excellent analytical, reconciliation, and reporting skills.
  • Strong communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Ability to lead a team and work under tight deadlines.

Qualifications & Experience:

  • Semi-qualified CA (CA Inter)
  • 5–8 years of experience in Accounts Payable/Receivable , preferably in e-commerce, retail, Manufacturing or FMCG sectors.
