As an APAC Payroll Specialist at FNZ, you'll oversee and advise on payroll operations across multiple FNZ locations in Asia-Pacific (APAC) including Singapore, China, Thailand, Malaysia, Japan, India and Hong Kong. Your primary responsibility will involve managing the monthly payroll processes, ensuring their accuracy and efficiency. Additionally, you'll spearhead payroll-related projects and deliver timely, precise reporting to support crucial business decisions. This role demands a keen eye for detail, exceptional project management skills, and the ability to navigate complex payroll systems within diverse cultural and regulatory landscapes across the Asia-Pacific region.
As an APAC Payroll Specialist at FNZ, you will be responsible for:
Processing the monthly payroll for each location under your remit, including collating and uploading monthly payroll changes to the payroll system, CloudPay.
Addressing employee enquiries related to tax, payroll, leave, and superannuation.
Communicating with employees and stakeholders to gather necessary information and approvals for payroll processing.
Collaborating with HR and Finance Business Partners for payroll review, approval, and related queries.
Maintaining accuracy in the HRIS (Workday) and other HR systems for payroll-related actions.
Generating precise reports on HR processes, such as absence levels, pay information, headcount, turnover, and monthly vacancy reports.
Handling payroll audits, reviews, and special projects, including historical pay investigations as required.
Staying informed about legislative changes and ensuring compliance across all payroll locations.
Providing HR metrics to support business planning, focusing on attrition, absence, retention, and engagement trends, and proposing solutions for improvement.
What are we ideally looking for in a successful candidate?
Experience using Workday and/ or CloudPay is preferable although full system training will be provided.
Familiarity with payroll processes in various APAC countries including Australia, China, Hong Kong, Thailand, Singapore, Japan, Malaysia, India would be beneficial.
Demonstrable strong knowledge and experience in Asia payroll administration, emphasizing payment and deduction processing while handling sensitive data.
Proficiency in Microsoft Suite including Excel, Word, Outlook, and PowerPoint. Advanced MS Excel skills, including advanced formulas and macros is ideal.
Impeccable attention to detail and conscientious work ethic.
Exceptional organizational abilities, detail-oriented mindset, and adeptness at working within tight deadlines.
Understanding of the significance of global payroll within an organization, leveraging expertise to uphold international excellence.
Ability to work effectively within a supportive and friendly team environment, contributing to collective efforts aimed at maintaining effective, up-to-date, and compliant processes.
Detail-oriented mindset ensuring accuracy and timeliness in HRIS-related payroll processes to guarantee precise and timely pay for employees.
Prior experience ensuring international compliance in payroll processes, aiming to uphold world-class standards in service delivery.
Being business proficient in the Chinese language would be advantageous.
