Juniper Green Energy, based out of Delhi NCR, commenced operations in October 2018. The business has experienced rapid growth, and it presently has an operational portfolio of about 1GW with an under-construction capacity of 2 GW and a development pipeline of close to 5 GW of solar, wind and hybrid projects. The company has end-to-end internal competencies in EPC and O&M services for its renewable projects.
Job Summary:
EHS Professional with expertise in implementing end-to-end Health Safety Management Systems in Wind Constructions site; proficient in Monitoring and conducting HSE audits & risk assessment while implementing various measures to achieve incident free operations in the organization.
Roles and Responsibilities:
- Responsible for EHS implementation as per Organisation & Contract requirement for the project.
- Develop and complete health and safety plans in the workplace according to legal guidelines, and organization requirements.
- Implementation & monitoring of EHS Management System according to International Standards (ISO14001 & ISO 45001). Implementation of Corporate Systems & Procedures at Project sites including customer requirements.
- Implementation of EHS Policy, guidelines, procedures & compliance to legal requirements to establish a real culture of Environment, Health and Safety etc. Provide clear, complete & binding instructions, as applicable.
- Participating in EHS core team meetings in identifying aspects & hazards at the workplace/facilities and establish control measures. Guiding & training site personnel in implementing them.
- Selection, evaluation & performance monitoring of on-site contractors including a system of penalties & incentives.
- Identify training needs, plan and coordinate training programmes on EHS at different levels and Conduct training and presentations for health and safety matters and accident prevention.
- Gives to internal and external EHS audits- plan and conduct EHS audits at the project site & take corrective/preventive actions promptly.
- Identify near misses, unsafe acts & unsafe conditions and ensure corrective /preventive actions as approved by core EHS team.
- Incident/ Accident communication (partner concern), investigation, analysis & recommendation of corrective & preventive actions to the Project Manager, Project Team, BU EHS Officer and Strategic EHS Officer.
- Ensure use of Personnel Protective Equipment (PPE) as required based on nature of work and ensure availability of all safety gadgets in the project sites. Analyses and monitors consistency to EHS standards in assigned organizations and prepares regular EHS reporting.
- Coordination with internal & external partners on EHS topic.
- Evaluate practices, procedures and facilities to assess risk and consistency to the requirements.
- Work in partnership with senior and site management to develop and implement strategies, policies and services to increase employee safety & reduce organization risks.
- Prepare and update EHS Legal register.
- Analyses and reports on changes in relevant EHS laws and regulations and recommend changes for internal standards.
Qualifications and Skills:
- You should have 6-9 years of experience. Preference will be given to the candidates having experience in Wind Energy Projects.
- Full time Degree in Mechanical / Electrical Engineering with Post graduate diploma in Industrial Safety & Environment (PGDISEM) approved by state technical board.
- Added advantage will be with candidates possessing ME in industrial safety management from NIT, NEBOSH qualified and Certified Lead Auditor for ISO 14001 & ISO 45001 and GWO certification.
