Our software team covers platform bring up for everything from boot loaders to web servers on prototype hardware, kernel, driver integration, Wi-Fi features, wireless security, BLE (Bluetooth Low Energy) radio, and other sophisticated functions integrated into our product.In this team, you will get exposed to software for most advanced technologies for wireless infrastructure devices. Same team will also automate and qualify these platforms. Your contributions as part of this team will have direct impact into connectivity experience for critically important applications across the world.What You'll DoYou are deeply motivated and skilled Software developer and expected to deliver and lead through others, as well as personally working to reach innovative solutions to business problems. You will work closely with other team members and cross functional teams to design a solution, implement it, and take it through qualification all the way to customer shipment and support. You are excited to be the one responsible for power-on and bringing life to the most advanced networking system in the world.Responsibilities:Actively participate on a project and work closely with other engineers in the development of software for our next generation Wi-Fi productsDesign and deliver new software and features for our next generation Wi-Fi Access PointsDay to day activities include writing new software, modifying software to fix issues, adapt it to new hardware, improve its performance, or upgrade interfacesYou will also work closely with system test and validation engineers to help with system test and integrationRequired skills:4+ years of experience with BS/MS in Computer Science or equivalent.You are an excellent C/C++/Python programmer and have strong analytical and logical solving skillsExperience working on TCP/IP network layer protocolsSelf-motivated, strong sense of ownership, team player, ability to work in fast-paced environmentStrong interpersonal and communication skills.Bonus Points:Wireless background specifically knowledge of and Wi-FiGood understanding of Linux and network resource managementExperience with packet forwarding and DataPathAutomation and test experience with PhytonKnowledge of management stack or hands on experience in any wireless controller or cloud-based management solutionExperience with customer interaction for technical problem-solvingStrong interpersonal and communication skills.At Cisco Meraki, we’re challenging the status quo with the power of diversity, inclusion, and collaboration.
