Position Title: Lead- Project Accounting

Overview:

As a member of our Projects team, the Lead-Project Accounting will play a pivotal role in the optimization of the company's CAPEX transactions. This role involves strategically ensuring adherence to accounting norms, building and nurturing tactical relationships with vendors and suppliers, and driving process improvements for CAPEX payables. Upholding the highest standards of financial integrity, ensuring compliance with statutory regulations such as GST and TDS laws, and delivering comprehensive MIS on payables, will be key components of this role. 

Key deliverables

  1. Prepare weekly and monthly MIS for Project expenses and share with the management 
  2. Review and ensure proper accounting of invoices and adherence to accrual accounting 
  3. Review and approve purchase orders when required in coordination with the Accounts team 
  4. Provide ad-hoc reports to the Projects Head 
  5. Ensure all vendor ledgers are UpToDate and are reconciled on a real time basis. 
  6. Ensure proper GST and TDS compliance and render necessary support to the Accounts team 

Required Skills and Qualifications:  

  1. Bachelor of Commerce (B. Com) with 5+ years of relevant experience. 
  2. Strong understanding of fundamental principles in accounting, and bookkeeping. 
  3. Exceptional time management skills with acute attention to detail and strong analytical skills. 
  4. Ability to maintain the highest levels of confidentiality for critical financial information. 
  5. Proficient in MS Excel and competent in using accounting software. 
  6. Adaptable and open to meeting challenging timelines. 

Preferred Skills and Qualifications:  

  1. Prior experience with Zoho Books, demonstrating proficiency in its functionalities. 
  2. Familiarity with Advanced Excel features such as VBA and macros, showcasing a commitment to continuous learning and improvement. 
  3. Experience in the real estate sector preferred.
