Job Summary

As a Payroll and Compliance Executive, you will oversee the entire payroll process, ensuring timely and accurate compensation for employees while maintaining compliance with relevant regulations. Your responsibilities include collaborating with HR and accounts teams to gather and verify payroll data, processing transactions such as salary adjustments and deductions, and staying updated on tax laws and compliance requirements. You will also conduct audits to identify and correct errors, manage statutory compliance documentation—including Provident Fund (PF) and Employees' State Insurance Corporation (ESIC) filings—and maintain comprehensive employee records. Additionally, you will prepare payroll-related management information system (MIS) reports, assist in audits, and ensure all records and processes are audit-ready. This role requires a strong understanding of payroll systems, statutory compliance, labor laws, and proficiency in HR software.

Key Responsibilities Payroll Processing & Management Manage end-to-end payroll processing, ensuring accuracy and compliance with regulations. Collaborate with HR and finance teams to collect and verify payroll data. Process payroll transactions, including salary adjustments, advances, and deductions. Generate payroll reports, address discrepancies, and resolve payroll-related queries promptly. Conduct payroll audits to identify and rectify errors. Ensure all payroll records and processes are audit-ready. Statutory Compliance & Regulations Stay updated on tax regulations and compliance requirements related to payroll. Ensure adherence to statutory compliance, including Provident Fund (PF), Employees' State Insurance Corporation (ESIC), and wage regulations. Prepare and file monthly PF and ESIC challans accurately and on time. Maintain proper documentation and filing of PF and ESIC records. Manage statutory compliance documentation, including labour law compliance registers. Stay updated with changes in labour laws and other relevant statutory requirements. Employee Records & Reporting Maintain and update employee records, including salary revisions, attendance, and leave management. Generate and distribute payroll-related MIS reports for management review. Assist in internal and external audits related to payroll and statutory dues.

Experience and Qualification Must be MBA in HR or related field Minimum of 5 years in payroll and compliance Strong understanding of HR principles and payroll practices. Excellent knowledge of various PF & ESIC forms. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to handle sensitive information with confidentiality. Proficiency in HR software.
