Role:Assistant Vice President - Category Development

Purpose of the Job:To achieve 2-3x growth of the brand (product line) through product and market innovation.

Key Responsibilities:Own Innovation Roadmap for the brand to drive penetration and share of requirement among usersDeep data analysis of trial, conversion, usage, retention to uncover patternsDeep consumer research to identify unmet needs, insights, and likes/dislikesConvert insights into concepts for product development and marketing initiatives

Own P&L for profitable growth of the brandPricing strategy based on cost plus, user backward and competition benchmarkingCost optimization based on unit cost analysis and benchmarking

Project Management to launch product and marketing initiatives and ensure their success via collaborating withProduct, tech, and academic teamsInternal marketing team and external agenciesSales teams

Strong data analysis and connecting the dot’s abilityIntuition and Insight mining:

Being able to observe, listen and understand consumer insights to uncover opportunities.Eye for Marketing & Brand Communication:

Clarity in briefs and in experience in developing effective marketing communication.Collaboration and Influence:

Proven capability to collaborate with and influence senior leaders.Financial Acumen:

Strong knowledge of pricing strategies, P&L management, and ROI evaluation.

Ideal Experience Profile:MBA from tier-1 colleges (IIM's or ISB)4-6 years of experience in managing - 200-500 Cr. brand or categoryBrand Manager/ Assistant Brand Manager from FMCG companies Or Category Management roles in high growth start-ups
