The role focuses on enhancing operational efficiency, visibility, and compliance through digital transformation, automation, and data-driven decision-making.Essential Duties and Responsibilities:IT Strategy & Business Alignment- Act as the primary IT liaison for Supply Chain, Procurement, and Logistics teams, ensuring alignment of IT solutions with business objectives.- Develop and implement digital roadmaps for supply chain automation, inventory optimization, and logistics tracking.- Ensure compliance with Indian and global regulations.Technology & Digital Transformation Initiatives- Lead implementation and integration of supply chain management systems (SCMS) with enterprise platforms like SAP S/4HANA.- Drive automation in procurement, warehouse management, and logistics tracking using IoT, RFID, and AI/ML technologies.- Enable predictive analytics for demand forecasting, inventory planning, and supplier performance.- Implement digital dashboards for real-time visibility into supply chain KPIs and logistics operations.- Oversee integration of vendor portals and transport management systems (TMS) for streamlined operations.Process Optimization & Performance Management- Enhance operational efficiency through mobile-first solutions for warehouse operations, delivery tracking, and procurement approvals.- Enable advanced analytics for supplier segmentation, risk management, and cost optimization.- Improve compliance reporting and audit readiness through automated workflows and digital documentation.Vendor & Stakeholder Management- Collaborate with Supply Chain, Procurement, Quality, Regulatory, and Finance teams to align IT initiatives with business needs.- Manage external vendors and technology partners for timely and cost-effective implementation of supply chain technologies.- Ensure robust IT governance, cybersecurity, and data privacy across all supply chain platforms.Education Background:- Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Supply Chain Management, or Business Administration (or a related field).Experience:- 10+ years of experience in the pharma or chemical manufacturing industry in IT leadership roles focused on supply chain and logistics technologies.- Deep expertise in ERP systems (e.g., SAP S/4HANA), SCMS, and TMS platforms.- Strong knowledge of supply chain automation, predictive analytics, and digital logistics solutions.- Experience with vendor management systems, procurement platforms, and warehouse automation tools.- Comprehensive understanding of regulatory compliance in pharma logistics (GDP, Drug & Cosmetics Act, data privacy laws).- Proven stakeholder management, project leadership, and vendor negotiation skills.
