Overview
We are looking for a skilled Sales & Marketing Assistant who can be a valuable addition to our ever-expanding business and accurately represent us in the sphere of marketing and advertising. Our ideal candidate is someone who understands the full marketing mix and is a quick learner with strong negotiating skills who has the ability to showcase our offerings in a compelling way.
Often tasked with giving presentations, attending networking events, and attending trade shows, it’s essential that our Sales & Marketing Assistant be personable and professional. We are seeking a proactive brand representative to help us sell the products and services that our customers have grown to rely on. The representative should have a strong understanding of the sales process, excel at generating leads, building relationships, and closing deals.
Key Duties
Promoting the brand by strengthening the existing channels of sales and driving brand growth and loyalty for a number of business areas.
Be responsible for implementing strategic marketing/communications plans to provide direction for the company’s public-facing communications.
Converting relationships into successful sales by understanding the client’s needs, anticipating new marketing opportunities, and shaping relevant and interesting offers.
Implementing innovative sales plans based on regular and thorough analysis of market trends and consumer behavior data to meet or exceed annual sales goals.
Liasoning between the Sales & Marketing and the Media & Communication teams to create compelling and well-coordinated advertising campaigns that are in keeping with the best practices and promotional trends in the industry.
Attending industry events and coordinating business generation activities in and out of your city (often outside of 9-5 hours) and planning meetups for the brand community and assisting with organizing promotional events.
Identifying product improvements or new products by managing customer feedback and remaining current on industry trends, market activities, and activities of the competitors.
Creating and maintaining a database of prospective clients’ information.
Maintaining a pipeline of all sales administration and monitoring the progress of current orders.
Taking and recording order information along with emphasizing product/service features and benefits, discussing credit terms, and preparing sales order forms and/or reports.
Compiling professional, complete, concise and accurate reports, proposals, booking packages, and other documentation as required to direct future sales and marketing initiatives as well as for executive-level presentations.
Possessing in-depth product knowledge and staying updated on all company’s services in order to conduct demos and relay objection handling.
Experience and Skill
3-5 years in sales within a Sales setting
Knowledge of digital marketing tools and techniques, sales management software, and CRM are essential with solid computer skills, including MS Excel, web analytics, and Google Adwords.
Ability to travel at least 40% of the time.
Ability to balance persuasion with professionalism
Strong analytical, organisational, and creative thinking skills for effective problem solving.
The ability to work in a fast-paced environment
Excellent communication and presentation skills would be required to develop and manage client & brand relationships
Preference
Proven work experience as a sales and marketing manager or similar role
A proactive applicant with a thorough knowledge of marketing and the sports industry
Experience in management may be advantageous.
