Job Description
We are seeking a seasoned Senior Technical Service Manager with a strong background in Data Center Networking and experience managing network operations teams in the Banking or Financial Services domain. The ideal candidate will have required technical understanding, process driven with excellent team and stakeholder management skills.
Location
• Navi Mumbai (Onsite Role)
Key Responsibilities:
1. Arista Infrastructure Operations & Management
- Lead daily operations of Arista-based data center network infrastructure (spine-leaf, VXLAN, EVPN based Arista Architecture).
- Ensure uptime, high availability, and performance of Arista Fabric along with on-site Arista Engineers and TAC for banking applications hosted in data centers.
- Ensure technical coordination and escalation with Customer teams as well as internal team members in Arista PS.
2. Network Automation & CloudVision
- Drive adoption and operational use of Arista CloudVision Portal (CVP) for
- provisioning, config management, DMF and available solutions for Telemetry, and
- network-wide visibility.
- Incorporate automated dashboards and reports with engineer's support and publishing
- the required information timely to stakeholders
- Enable real-time analytics, compliance enforcement, and automation through CVP and
- integrations with other systems.
3. Security & Compliance
- Ensure Resident Engineers work on Hardening Reports, New Requests, follow SoPs and compliance guidelines
- Ensure technical requests are served in a timely manner by on-site engineers while support compliance with RBI, PCI-DSS, ISO 27001 , and other financial regulations.
- Coordinate vulnerability management, audit readiness, and forensic analysis with relevant customer teams.
4. Change & Incident Management
- Lead network change planning, risk assessment, validation, and implementation following ITIL processes.
- Ensure rapid resolution of incidents through structured problem-solving and escalation to Arista TAC & Customer as needed.
5. Planning & Scaling
- Support planning and execution of data center expansions, migrations, or cloud integrations using Arista's open standards.
- Participate in capacity planning, future-proofing, and lifecycle refresh strategies.
6. Team Leadership & Vendor Coordination
- Manage a team of network engineers specializing in Arista technologies.
- Collaborate with Arista Professional Services, system integrators, and audit/compliance
- stakeholders.
- Maintain vendor SLAs and technical support contracts.
7. Shift Scheduling and Ensuring 24X7 Operations
- Manage shifts of network engineers specializing in Arista technologies for 24X7 operations
- Ensure attendance records, invoicing and administrative activities are completed in time and processes adhered to.
Skills & Competencies
Technical Skills:
- Intermediate Level in Arista EOS , CloudVision , VXLAN/EVPN , BGP , OSPF ,
- Multicast , QoS .
- Strong knowledge of data center architectures: Spine-Leaf , Zero Trust , SDN .
- Hands-on with telemetry, streaming analytics, network APIs, and automation (Python,
- Ansible preferred).
- Familiar with data center integration to hybrid cloud (AWS/Azure) and virtualization
- platforms (VMware, KVM).
- Strong exposure to Banking or Financial Services operations processes, industry
- standards and regulatory frameworks (e.g., RBI, PCI-DSS, ISO 27001).
- Proven ability to manage cross-functional teams in a project management environment.
- Ability to deliver projects to schedule, budget and quality.
- Required technical understanding of Arista & Networking technologies: LAN/WAN,
- routing, switching, firewalls, load balancers, SDN, cloud interconnects, etc.
- Hands-on experience in managing network DC operations involving data center
- migration, disaster recovery (DR), network segmentation, and hybrid/cloud deployments.
- Proficient in project management tools (e.g., MS Project, JIRA, ServiceNow).
- Knowledge of ITIL framework and experience working in Agile/DevOps environments.
- Excellent communication, leadership, and stakeholder engagement skills.
Soft Skills:
- Strong leadership, stakeholder management, and communication abilities.
- Proactive approach to troubleshooting, incident response, and performance tuning.
- Familiar with ITIL, change management, and service delivery best practices.
- Ability to overcome major challenges and operate on a cross-functional, cross- organizational basis.
- Ability to provide coaching, advice and guidance to the project team.
- Ability to communicate in a clear, concise and appropriate manner.
- Ability to provide constructive and timely feedback.
- Ability to negotiate and resolve conflicts in a constructive manner.
Qualification, Experience & Certification:
- Bachelor's or Master's in Engineering, Computer Science, or equivalent.
- Master's degree or MBA is a plus.
- 10+ years of experience in IT Operations Management (NoC), with at least 5 years
- handling a team of data center network engineers.
- Operations management courses in Datacenter
- Understanding of network security and compliance within banking infrastructure.
- Experience in NoC and Network Operations
Preferred certifications:
o ACE (Arista Certified Engineer)
o CCNP/CCIE (or equivalent knowledge level) o PMP / PRINCE2 / ITIL / Scrum certifications.
o CISA/CISM (for audit-sensitive environments)
Preferred Background:
- Experience in BFSI or financial institutions with exposure to mission-critical, 24/7
- regulated data centers.
- Prior involvement in greenfield deployments or Arista migrations in banking or
- securities firms.
