Job Summary:

Alkye is on the lookout for a Social Media Manager specializing in thought leadership and brand positioning. In this role, you'll be the driving force behind our social media strategy, creating insightful, engaging content that positions our brand and our clients as industry leaders. Your work will involve in-depth research, crafting compelling narratives, and producing content that influences and educates our target audience across various social media platforms.


Roles & Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement our social media strategy to increase our online presence and improve our marketing efforts.
  • Create, curate, and manage published content (images, video, written, and audio) across all social media platforms.
  • Conduct comprehensive research to underpin content with credible data and insights.
  • Work closely with subject matter experts to develop authoritative and innovative content.
  • Craft content that demonstrates thought leadership and industry expertise.
  • Analyze trends and topics within the industry to generate relevant content ideas.
  • Collaborate with the marketing team to ensure content aligns with overall brand strategy.
  • Proofread and edit content to maintain high-quality standards.
  • Engage with our audience, respond to queries in a timely manner, and monitor customer reviews.
  • Oversee social media accounts’ design (e.g., Facebook timeline cover, profile pictures, and blog layout).
  • Suggest and implement new features to develop brand awareness, like promotions and competitions.


Desired Qualifications & Experience:

  • 2-4 years of experience in social media management, with a focus on thought leadership and brand positioning.
  • Demonstrated ability to produce content that impacts and influences a target audience.
  • Strong research skills and ability to synthesize complex information into accessible content.
  • Excellent writing, editing, and storytelling skills.
  • Experience with social media platforms and tools (e.g., Hootsuite, Buffer).
  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, English, Journalism, or a related field is preferred.

  • Impact and influence of thought leadership content on target audiences.
  • Quality and depth of research underpinning the content.
  • Consistent alignment of content with brand and strategic objectives.
  • Engagement metrics (shares, comments, and citations) of published content
