Job Summary:

We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Accountant to manage end-to-end e-commerce accounting along with day-to-day financial activities of the company. The role involves handling marketplace reconciliations, recording transactions, ensuring compliance with statutory requirements, and preparing reports to support management decisions.

Key Responsibilities:

1. E-commerce Accounting:

  • Maintain and reconcile accounts for all e-commerce platforms (Amazon, Flipkart, Jiomart, Meesho, etc.).
  • Verify and record online sales, returns, refunds, replacement orders and commissions.
  • Reconcile marketplace payments with bank statements and resolve discrepancies.
  • Track and manage GST on online sales, TCS deductions, and marketplace fees.
  • Prepare periodic e-commerce MIS reports for management.

2. General Accounting & Daily Operations:

  • Record all day-to-day accounting entries (sales, purchases, expenses, and journal entries).
  • Handle vendor payments, customer receipts, and petty cash management.
  • Perform monthly bank reconciliations and maintain proper cash flow statements.
  • Preparation of Profit & Loss statements and Balance Sheets.
  • Support statutory compliances like GST, TDS, and other regulatory filings.

3. Reporting & Analysis:

  • Generate daily/weekly/monthly sales and expense reports for management.
  • Analyze e-commerce deductions, returns for cost optimization.

Required Skills & Competencies:

  • Strong knowledge of
    accounting principles
    and
    bookkeeping practices
    .
  • Hands-on experience with
    e-commerce accounting & reconciliations
    .
  • Proficiency in
    Tally / Excel
    .
  • Knowledge of
    GST, TDS, TCS
    , and basic taxation.
  • Analytical skills to identify and resolve discrepancies quickly.
  • Ability to manage multiple marketplaces and meet reporting deadlines.

Qualifications & Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree in Commerce, Accounting, or Finance (B.Com / M.Com).
  • 2-4 years of experience
    in accounting; e-commerce experience is a must.
  • Familiarity with online marketplace portals and payment dashboards.
