Job DescriptionThe Software Team Leader will work as part of a multidisciplinary team to develop high-quality software solutions, adhering to principles of maintainability and reusability. This role supports any legacy, current, or new software developments, including software testing.

Job ActivitiesSoftware Development:

Excellent knowledge of C and C++

Proficiency in assembly language

Develop software solutions for various serial communication protocols (USB, UART, IIC, SPI, CAN, RS485, etc.)

Understand technical specifications and integrated development environments (IDEs) for several families of microcontrollers used in active projects

Good knowledge of several operating systems (FreeRTOS, Micrium, Linux) or excellent knowledge of one

Skill Development:

Develop the necessary skill set to execute development activities for multiple projects and different customers

Master control algorithms for at least two appliance product lines (cooking, refrigeration, clothing care, etc.)

Customer Collaboration:

Work with customers to develop and improve product technical specifications and storyboards

Develop and maintain traceability principles and best practices

Software Architecture:

Actively participate in software architecture definition for new programs

Create and maintain software design principles and best practices

Agile Role:

Able to perform the role of Agile Master

Certification Compliance:

Ensure delivered software components meet agency certification requirements (UL, VDE, etc.)

Driver Development:

Develop and maintain drivers for advanced input methods (capacitive touch, resistive touch, etc.)

Develop and maintain drivers for advanced output methods (VFD displays, TFT displays)

Process Improvement:

Improve work instructions for software development processes under the Project Implementation Process (PIP) framework

Sales Support:

Support the Sales department by providing non-recurring engineering (NRE) effort estimation for the quotation process

Team Functions:

Perform all functions defined for lower hierarchical software team positions

RequirementsBachelor's degree in engineering, or a related field; advanced degree preferred. Proven experience in continuous improvement, process optimization, and project management. Certification in Lean Six Sigma or other relevant improvement methodologies is preferred. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Leadership experience with the ability to motivate and guide teams. Proficiency in data analysis tools and project management software.
