About the Role The Assistant Sales Manager assists the Sales & Operations and is responsible for leaf sales support and administration duties. Responsibilities Assists in marketing strategy, acts as sales support for customer visits and coordinates between operations and leaf sales. Help set up and coordinates business meetings with relevant customers. Coordinates with leaf blending department to ensure conformity between customer requirements and production objectives. Setting up of marketable blends or required blends from customers. Assist in compiling daily/weekly/monthly/annual crop/sales related reports. Prepare presentations to AOI group and customers on crop progress/pre season meetings. Prepare costing/offer sheets as necessary. Provide Customer entertainment. Coordinate and communicate customer requirements within the AOI group. Close monitoring of timely shipments meeting all customer requirements in consultation with shipping department. Encompass ESG and sustainability related knowledge. Qualifications University degree or Diploma in related field. Additional management degree preferred. Minimum of 5 years’ experience in tobacco industry required with exposure to agronomy/buying/blending/exports. Required Skills Strong problem solving skills. Strong creative and innovation skills and abilities. Strong organizational and coordination skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently. Self-driven with good presentation skills. Good communication and interpersonal skills for effective collaboration with diverse stakeholders. Good understanding of data analysis and reporting. Knowledge of global markets and various tobacco types. Proficiency in English, both written and verbal, and local language Telugu. Willingness to learn and adapt to new tasks and responsibilities. Ability to work independently with minimal oversight from superiors. Willingness to travel domestically and internationally on sales/operational trips. Willing to acquire new areas of knowledge like ESG/Sustainability that are key for future business.
