Customer consultation: Meet with potential customers to understand their energy needs, explain the benefits of solar power, and answer questions about costs and savings. Site assessment: Visit customer sites to assess suitability for solar installations, taking into account factors like roof orientation, shading, and climate. Proposal and quote creation: Develop customized sales proposals and quotes based on customer needs and site assessments. Sales and negotiation: Negotiate prices and contracts, and close deals to meet or exceed sales quotas. Relationship management: Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, ensuring customer satisfaction and managing post-sales follow-up. Industry knowledge: Stay up-to-date on industry trends, new products, regulations, and incentives to provide accurate and current information.  Required skills and qualifications Strong communication and interpersonal skills: Essential for explaining technical information and building rapport with customers. Negotiation and closing skills: Proven ability to negotiate contracts and close sales. Customer service skills: Ability to provide excellent customer service and manage client relationships. Self-motivation and independence: Must be able to work independently, manage time effectively, and be a self-starter. Product and industry knowledge: Understanding of solar products, services, and the solar market. Sales experience: Previous sales experience, ideally in the solar or a related industry, is often preferred. Educational background: While some roles may prefer a bachelor's degree in sales, marketing, or a related field, experience is often prioritized. Analytical and problem-solving skills: Needed for site assessments and creating customized solutions.
