Job Description :
The IT Network Administrator and Cyber Security Manager is responsible for the overall management, maintenance, and security of the organization's network infrastructure. This role ensures the integrity, security, and optimal performance of the network systems while safeguarding against cyber threats. The incumbent will lead efforts to develop, implement, and manage security protocols and policies, respond to security incidents, and stay current with evolving security threats.
Key Responsibilities :
- Design, implement, and maintain network infrastructure, including LAN, WAN, VPNs, and wireless networks.
- Configure and manage network hardware such as routers, switches, firewalls, and load balancers.
- Monitor network performance and troubleshoot network issues to ensure optimal performance and minimal downtime.
- Conduct regular maintenance tasks to ensure network reliability and performance.
- Develop and implement comprehensive cybersecurity strategies and policies.
- Ensure compliance with industry standards and regulatory requirements (e.g., GDPR, HIPAA, PCI-DSS).
- Monitor security breaches and respond to incidents promptly and join internal and client calls.
- Deploy and manage security tools such as intrusion detection/prevention systems (IDS/IPS), antivirus software, endpoint security and firewalls.
- Conduct regular cybersecurity training and awareness programs for employees.
- Keep abreast of emerging security threats and recommend appropriate measures.
- Manage relationships with network, hardware and security vendors.
- Lead the response to network and security incidents, including root cause analysis and remediation.
- Develop and maintain incident response plans and procedures.
- Supervise and mentor junior network and security team-members.
- Assist in the development and management of the IT budget, particularly concerning network and security expenditures.
