Job Description

The Audit Manager will be responsible for managing and overseeing the audit process for our clients in the UK. The successful candidate will have a strong background in auditing, exceptional leadership skills, and the ability to effectively communicate with clients and team members in a virtual and live environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage multiple remote audit engagements simultaneously, setting priorities, delivering high quality work, and meeting deadlines
  • Ensure the team delivers timely and high-quality work, and in line with the client expectations
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients and serve as the main point of contact for audit-related matters.
  • Supervise and mentor audit staff, providing guidance and support as needed.
  • Review and analyze financial statements and audit reports for accuracy and completeness.
  • Monitor utilization for one’s team, budget to actuals, and other operational matters
  • Identify and communicate audit issues to clients and provide recommendations for improvement.
  • Stay up-to-date with changes in UK accounting and auditing standards and ensure that the audit team is informed and trained accordingly .
  • Participate in business development activities and assist in the preparation of proposals for new client.
  • Identify opportunities for process improvement and efficiency gains within the audit outsourcing function and recommend and implement best practices
  • Ensure effective communication with clients to establish a clear understanding of their business needs and objectives.
  • Lead by example, delegate work successfully and develop and maintain high performing teams
  • Conduct timely performance reviews and provide performance feedback and training.
  • Use technology and tools to continually learn, share knowledge with team members, and enhance service delivery
  • Contribute to technical and soft-skills training to continually develop the team’s skills
  • Actively participate in organizational initiatives, such as recruitment, diversity and inclusiveness, trainings, and others.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Commerce Professional accounting qualification mandatory (e.g. ACA, ACCA) At least 6-7 years of experience in auditing out of which 2-3 years minimum is required in UK Audits Strong knowledge of UK auditing standards and procedures Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills, with experience in managing teams of at least 5-7 people Ability to manage multiple remote engagements and prioritize tasks effectively Attention to detail and a commitment to quality work Proficient in Microsoft Office and experience with audit softwares such as CCH -PCAS, Mercia , My workpapers and Caseware & Caseware Idea
