Position Overview:
The Associate Director/Director - Corporate Relations and Career Services is a key leadership role responsible for developing and implementing strategies to enhance corporate partnerships, employer engagement, and career services for students and alumni. This role aims to bridge the gap between academia and industry, ensuring students are well-prepared for the job market and fostering long-term relationships with employers.
Key Responsibilities:
1.Strategic Leadership:
Develop and implement a comprehensive strategy for corporate relations and career services aligned with the institution's goals and objectives.
Lead the Corporate Relations and Career Services team, providing vision, direction, and mentorship.
2.Corporate Partnerships:
Identify and establish partnerships with leading companies and organizations to create job and internship opportunities for students.
Maintain and strengthen relationships with existing corporate partners, ensuring mutual benefit and sustained engagement.
Organize and coordinate corporate events such as career fairs, employer panels, and networking events.
3.Career Services:
Oversee the delivery of career counseling, job search assistance, resume and interview preparation, and other career development services.
Develop and manage career resources, including job portals, databases, and workshops.
Monitor job placement statistics and report on employment outcomes to stakeholders.
4.Student and Alumni Engagement:
Collaborate with academic departments to integrate career services into the curriculum.
Design and implement programs to engage alumni in mentoring, networking, and recruiting activities.
Provide guidance and support to students and alumni in their career planning and job search processes.
5.Market Analysis and Trends:
Stay informed about industry trends, job market changes, and employer needs.
Conduct regular market analysis to identify new opportunities for partnerships and student employment.
Use data and feedback to continuously improve career services and employer engagement strategies.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Business, Human Resources, Education, or a related field; Master’s degree preferred.
Minimum of 8 -10 years of experience in corporate relations, career services, recruitment, or a related field.
Proven track record of developing and managing successful corporate partnerships.
Strong leadership and team management skills.
Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work collaboratively with diverse stakeholders, including students, employers, faculty, and alumni.
Proficiency in using career services management software and tools.
