JOB Description
ACTIVITIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
- staff and business goals
- budget for area of control, assure compliance to budget direction, develop estimation and planning for validation workload
- business plan targets for specific area of activity
- human resources. Develop staffing plan, lead selection of new employees, define the strategic employees’ development plan and act accordingly
- and manage the technical, organizational as well as personal development, including appraisal, promotion, team building and task assignment
- disciplinary and personnel responsibility
- relationship and partnership to adjacent areas
- manage and monitor external resources according to company guidelines and contract Manage domain specific the validation deliverables according to quality, cost, schedule, performance
- the definition of domain specific deliverables, being consistent with the global strategy for optimization of vehicle benefit and cost
- all validation activities to ensure timely product execution and flawless launches (e.g. alignment with functions outside the own area of control)
- all activities to develop detailed technical validation solutions, e.g. automation
- issue management, lead change management, ensure reporting and escalation of critical issues
- compliance with established company processes
- cost reduction activities Tools & Processes, Efficiency
- communication with all process stakeholders for identifying particular tools/processes and efficiency optimization on projects
- to implement execution of identified tools and processes optimizations, improving the efficiency
- RELATIONSHIPS
- to the functional manager and hierarchical manager.
- with interfacing organizational units within the own core function as well as outside of the own core function. Interacts with project leads and managers of external companies for project monitoring and control.
- with the support functions. KNOWLEDGE University degree (Master or similar) on technical subject area (e.g., Electrical/Mechanical Engineering, Physics). Job holder is required to have expert knowledge on vehicle electrical systems, embedded controller software and the applicable validation methodology (methods and tools).
