Job Purpose
The Middle Management-Product Development- Testing & Validation for Electric Vehicles will lead motorcycle projects from concept stage through to the start of production. The incumbent will work alongside and in partnership with cross-functional teams including Product Development, Current Engineering, Quality and Genuine Motorcycle Accessories. He/ she will provide support to the Product development and Current Engineering Team to ensure that projects are delivered in accordance with the requirements from all departments.
Key Responsibilities
- Prototype vehicles build related activities
- Testing & Validation of Electric Vehicle for Functional, Performance, Environmental & durability.
- Test Plan, EV Specific tests and DVP finalization for EV Projects.
- Engineering Documentation & Test Standard preparation for the Validation of Electric Vehicles.
- EV specific Test Equipments / Infrastructure development for testing & validation
- Regulatory requirements for EV motorcycles and comply with regulatory requirements.
- Develop DV and PV test plans based on project requirements and design improvements
- Produce supporting documentation/test reports for development tests and activities
- Ride and Handling testing like Maneuverability, Straight line stability and cornering stability
- Brake performance and accelerated durability testing of motor cycles
- Provide Riding feedback, Identify the issues in motorcycle and Simulating customer complaints
- Review test reports and perform root cause analysis to understand failures
- Severity testing like Race track, Jump test, Off road evaluation, Wheelie, Stoppie etc.
- Work with stakeholders to align on test plans and procedures
- Develop the plan and procedures for testing, calibration and validation
- Document results and findings according to company standards
- Ensure immediate resolution of testing and validation related issues
- Liaise with internal departments such as the Test Team (UK), Product development Design & CAE, Quality, Product Strategy, After Sales Marketing and Production
- Liaise and work with external suppliers / consultants as and when required
- IMS (QMS, EMS, OH&S) implementation support
Work Experience
Education
Bachelor of Engineering / Bachelor of Technology (Mechanical / Automobile engineering discipline)
Experience
- 10+ years’ experience with strong technical background in Automobile industries
- Experience with Electric motorcycles testing
- EV Industry exposure has an experience right
