Key Responsibilities

· Develop and optimize formulations for mouthwashes, toothpaste, gels, and other oral hygiene products.

· Conduct stability studies, pH and viscosity testing, and microbial preservation testing.

· Work with ingredients such as alcohols, essential oils, surfactants, flavors, and preservatives.

· Troubleshoot formulation issues (e.g., settling, separation, flavor loss).

· Ensure formulations comply with regulatory and safety standards (e.g., BIS, FDA, ISO).

· Interface with procurement, QA/QC, and production teams.

Qualifications

· B.Pharmacy / M.Pharmacy / M.Sc in Chemistry, Cosmetic Science, or related field.

· 1–3 years of experience in personal care or oral care product development.

· Strong knowledge of solubilizers, preservatives, emulsions, and stability protocols.

· Familiarity with GMP documentation and lab-scale to production-scale transitions.

Preferred Skills

· Experience in alcohol-based and non-alcoholic mouthwash development.

· Basic knowledge of flavor and fragrance blending.

· Experience in toothpaste formulation preferred.
