Job Title: R&D Scientist - Makeup Products

Location: Ghansoli, Navi Mumbai

We are a leading cosmetic manufacturing company specializing in innovative and premium makeup products. As part of our commitment to creating exceptional formulations, we are seeking a talented and experienced R&D Scientist to drive the development of cutting-edge color cosmetics.
Role Overview:
Key Responsibilities:
Develop and formulate innovative makeup products, including foundations, lipsticks, eyeshadows, and other color cosmetics, in line with market trends and company goals.
Research and evaluate raw materials, ensuring optimal selection and sourcing from reliable suppliers.
Stay updated on advancements in cosmetic ingredients, technologies, and global trends to introduce innovative formulations.
Conduct stability testing, compatibility studies, and other performance evaluations to ensure product quality and safety.
Collaborate with the QA, QC, and production teams to scale formulations from the lab to production without compromising quality.
Develop and maintain detailed documentation for formulations, processes, and regulatory compliance.
Ensure all formulations comply with FDA standards and other regulatory requirements.
Identify and troubleshoot formulation challenges promptly, providing innovative solutions.
Communicate effectively with internal teams, external suppliers, and stakeholders to ensure smooth product development.
Participate in brainstorming sessions to conceptualize new product ideas based on market needs and customer feedback.
Qualifications and Skills:
Educational Background: Master’s degree in Cosmetic Science, Chemistry, or a related field.
Minimum of 3 years of hands-on experience in the color cosmetics industry, specifically in makeup product formulation.
Strong knowledge of raw materials used in makeup products and an extensive network of suppliers.
Proven ability to develop and execute new formulations with a high level of precision and creativity.
Sound understanding of regulatory requirements and FDA compliance for color cosmetics.
Exceptional problem-solving skills with a self-starter attitude.
Strong written and verbal communication skills for effective collaboration across teams.
Detail-oriented with excellent organizational and multitasking abilities.
Proficiency in using laboratory equipment and formulation software.
