Key responsibilities include verifying product details against documentation, selecting and preparing appropriate packaging materials, inspecting packed items for damage, maintaining accurate packing records, and ensuring a safe and organized work environment. The role also involves coordinating with other departments, managing stock levels, and potentially supervising junior staff to optimize the packing process.
- Quality Control: Examine packed items for defects or damage, ensuring they meet quality and company standards before shipment.
- Accuracy Verification: Verify product quantities, specifications, and shipping details against packing slips, invoices, and order forms.
- Material Management: Gather, prepare, and assemble appropriate packaging materials, ensuring proper sizing and protection for products.
- Documentation: Maintain accurate records of packed items, material usage, and shipment details.
- Coordination: Collaborate with production, quality control, logistics, and other relevant teams to ensure smooth operations and timely delivery.
- Safety & Hygiene:Ensure a safe and hygienic work environment, adhering to safety protocols and maintaining the cleanliness of the packing area.
- Inventory Management: Monitor stock levels of packaging materials and finished goods, ensuring availability for dispatch.
