Job Title - GM-Commercial ExcellenceLevel - General ManagerLocation -Raipur, C.G

About the JobResponsible for overseeing, assessing, and improving the operations, performance, and productivity of all commercial & administrative teams by analysing data and metrics, identifying areas of improvement, and implementing strategies to optimize performance. This individual must collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop, implement, and monitor key performance metrics, pricing strategies, product positioning, and market segmentation initiatives to drive the business forward.

Roles and Responsibilities

Business ExcellenceDevelop and implement commercial strategies that aligns with the organisation’s overall business objectivesProvide financial analysis and recommendations to senior leadership on processes, performance, risk management, and strategic initiatives across multiple departments. Involve in procurement activities as defined in DOABenchmark company practices against the industry and/or competitors’ best practices.Identify and recommend industry best practices to be adopted within various commercial departments. Create and execute relevant change management plans to incorporate best practices into the organization.Drives Improvement programs in Commercial & Support functions for business improvement.

Business Process ImprovementMaintain log of all discrepancies found during departmental process audits and report the same at relevant meeting events.Work closely with cross-functional teams to resolve common and/or critical audit findingsWork closely with functional heads to re-evaluate current business processes and help identify process improvement opportunities as well as upgradation of reporting mechanismsPeriodically update all relevant departmental documentation, including but not limited to SOPs, and policies, as and how required and in validation with functional heads.

Requirements and Skills

Desired QualificationsMBA and bachelor’s degree in business administration, Finance, Marketing, or related field.

Desired Experience10+ years of experience in finance, sales, and marketing with a demonstrated track record of success in driving revenue growth and profitability.5+ years of experience of leading business excellence departments, preferably in steel company.

Functional SkillsExcellent data analysis and modelling skills, with the ability to provide actionable insights and recommendations.Experience in commercial excellence or sales operations in the steel manufacturing industry is a plus.Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build and maintain relationships with internal and external stakeholders.Proven track record of driving operational efficiency and process improvements.Strong understanding of accounting principles, financial analysis, and business planning.Experience managing a team of financial and sales professionals.
