Position: Business Development Manager
Location: Jaipur (Includes regular travel)
Division: Sales & Business Development
Reports To: Regional Sales Head
Salary Range: Up to ₹6,00,000 per annum
Required Work Experience & Knowledge:
Education:
Bachelor's in Engineering (Electrical or Civil). MBA is an advantage.
Experience:
Proven experience of 3+ years in Business Development Management with a track record of successful team leadership.
Prior experience in solar energy projects is a plus.
Sales management experience with proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and relevant software applications.
Strong organizational and multitasking skills, knowledge of regulatory requirements, and industry standards.
Essential/Key Responsibilities:
Business Planning:
Develop and implement business development strategies to achieve organizational goals.
Create and execute comprehensive business plans for water infrastructure and related projects.
Client Relationship Management:
Build and maintain strong relationships with existing clients.
Identify and engage with potential clients, understanding their needs and requirements.
Reporting and Analysis:
Prepare regular reports on business development activities, achievements, and challenges.
Conduct data analysis to assess the effectiveness of strategies and make data-driven decisions.
Digital Marketing Strategies:
Collaborate with the marketing team to develop and implement digital marketing strategies for promoting water infrastructure and solar services.
Document Management:
Implement effective document management systems to organize and maintain project-related documentation securely.
KPI Development and Monitoring:
Develop and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure the success and impact of business development efforts.
Market Entry Strategies:
Formulate market entry strategies for expanding the organization's presence into new geographic regions or international markets.
Operational Duties:
Sales Funnel Management:
Analyze the sales funnel, including lead generation, qualification, proposal submission, negotiation, and closing.
Client Data Collection:
Continuously update and enhance the client database with new information and maintain accurate records for targeted marketing and engagement efforts.
Conversion Rate Analysis:
Calculate and analyze conversion rates at different stages of the sales funnel to identify areas for improvement.
Additional Responsibilities:
Technical Expertise:
Manage sales for industrial pumps in assigned regions.
Handle technical support for erection, commissioning, and troubleshooting of industrial pumps.
Prepare technical offers and support tender documentation for government and private clients.
Client and Dealer Management:
Manage relationships with dealers and key accounts, including major clients.
Conduct training sessions for dealer employees on technical product knowledge and system processes.
Operational Excellence:
Ensure timely payments and collections, oversee delivery timelines, and maintain client satisfaction.

Proficiency in managing and mentoring teams, delegating tasks effectively, and resolving conflicts.

Ability to make timely and informed decisions to optimize operations and address issues.
