Job Description

The Role:

The Head of Operations will be responsible for the overall leadership, strategic direction, and day-to-day operations of our fasteners division. This vital role will play a significant part in ensuring the division's operational excellence, efficiency, and profitability.

Responsibilities:

Provide strategic leadership and direction for the entire fasteners division, setting clear goals, objectives, and aligning them with the overall business strategy. Lead, motivate, and develop a diverse team of over 500 employees, fostering a collaborative and high-performing work environment. Oversee all aspects of production, including planning, scheduling, inventory management, and quality control, ensuring efficient and cost-effective operations. Implement and maintain robust quality management systems, ensuring adherence to all industry standards and regulations. Work closely with the sales and marketing teams to understand customer needs and ensure timely delivery of high-quality products. Manage the division's budget and financial performance, having a fair understanding of P&L handling. Identify and implement continuous improvement initiatives to optimize processes, reduce costs, and improve efficiency. Stay abreast of industry trends and technological advancements, adapting strategies and operations accordingly. Report directly to the Business Head, providing regular updates on divisional performance and strategic recommendations.

Qualifications:

Minimum 18-25 years of experience, with  at least 10 years  specifically in the fasteners industry. Minimum 5 years of experience  in a plant head or head of operations position. Proven track record of leading and managing large, complex operations in a manufacturing environment. Strong understanding of production planning, scheduling, and quality control principles. In-depth knowledge of relevant industry standards and regulations. Excellent communication, interpersonal, and leadership skills with the ability to motivate and inspire a diverse team. Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities with a data-driven approach to decision-making. Ability to work effectively under pressure and manage multiple priorities simultaneously. People's person  with a strong commitment to building and maintaining positive relationships. Well-versed in all quality aspects  related to the fasteners industry. Fair knowledge of P&L handling .
