Job Summary:

Home Today is seeking an experienced and customer-focused Furniture Manager to oversee all aspects of our furniture department. This role involves managing inventory, supervising staff, optimizing sales, and ensuring a top-tier customer experience. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in retail furniture sales and team leadership.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage the daily operations of the furniture department, ensuring a clean, organized, and well-stocked showroom.
  • Supervise, train, and motivate a team of sales associates and support staff.
  • Monitor inventory levels, coordinate with vendors, and oversee furniture ordering and restocking.
  • Develop and implement sales strategies to meet or exceed department goals.
  • Provide excellent customer service and resolve customer complaints or issues promptly.
  • Oversee floor merchandising and ensure displays are visually appealing and align with brand standards.
  • Track and report on sales performance, inventory trends, and customer feedback.
  • Collaborate with store leadership on promotions, events, and seasonal merchandising plans.
  • Ensure compliance with health, safety, and store policy standards.

Qualifications:

  • 3+ years of experience in furniture sales or retail management.
  • Proven leadership and team management skills.
  • Strong knowledge of furniture products, design trends, and customer preferences.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to manage inventory and interpret sales data effectively.
  • Proficiency in POS systems and basic computer software (Excel, Word, etc.).
