Key responsibilities & desired skillsPrepare scope of services and program.Manage the project resources/ program.Attend the design team/client/ site meetings where required to support the Principal Engineer.Prepare calculations, schedules, drawings, and any other contract documents developed through the RIBA stages.Liaise and correspond with the design team/ contractor on day-to-day issues.Ensure compliance with the Project Execution/Management PlanEnsure the project risk register is completed and kept up-to-dateEnsure all project variation are recorded and passed to the Associate.Implement and adhere to project QA policy and CDM requirements.Responsible for maintaining job filing system to company & QA standard.Co-ordination with architects / Structural engineers / specialist sub-consultants.Able to work with moderate supervision onElectrical LV distribution system designSubstation planning designLighting & lighting control systems designEmergency lighting designFire Detection systemsContainment systems designLightning protection systems designEarthing Systems designMEP space planningSelection of electrical equipment.Conversant with sustainable design solutionsLocal Authority interfacing and liaisonConversant with applicable Local and International standards, regulations, and best practiceConversant with LEED/ Estidama/ Dubai Green Building Code

Technical

Produce drawing list/calculation index/specification list/information required schedule.Involvement in developing the engineering design philosophies and strategiesProduction of electrical building services drawings and calculations.Recording meeting notes / production of meeting minutesResponsible for development and production of drawings/calculations/specification/reports.Understand and communicate engineering design fundamentals.A moderate awareness of Mechanical and Public Health building services/MEP systems strategySpatially aware and able to carry out services coordinationNeed to be good at report writing skillsGood at Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, OutlookExperience in Relux/Dialux Lighting Design SoftwareExperience in Amtech/Hevacomp Power design softwareAutoCAD, Navisworks, Autodesk Revit basics is essential

The candidate must have a rounded building services experience, with a portfolio which includes, residential, retail, high-rise, mixed-use and industrial projects:·

5+ years building services Industry experience·

Bachelors degree in Electrical Engineering or Building Services Engineering·

Masters Degree in Electrcial Engineering, Building Services, or construction/management is beneficial·

Member of CIBSE or IET, working toward Charterhip (CEng)·

Excellent communication skills in written & spoken English, Arabic speaking is beneficial but not essential.
