Job Title: Marketing Manager

Job Summary:

The Marketing Manager will lead the marketing team in planning and executing marketing strategies to promote the company’s products and services. This role involves managing marketing campaigns, overseeing market research, and working closely with sales, product development, Operations, and other departments to ensure consistent messaging and branding.

Key Responsibilities:


Marketing Strategy and Planning:

  • Develop and implement comprehensive marketing strategies to enhance brand visibility and achieve business goals.
  • Analyse market trends, customer insights, and competitive landscape to inform marketing strategies.
  • Set marketing goals, KPIs, and budgets, and ensure alignment with overall business objectives.


Campaign Management:

  • Plan, execute, and oversee marketing campaigns across various channels, including digital, print, and social media.
  • Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of marketing campaigns, adjusting strategies as needed.
  • Collaborate with creative teams to produce marketing materials, such as brochures, videos, and social media content.


Team Leadership:

  • Lead, mentor, and develop the marketing team, fostering a collaborative and innovative work environment.
  • Assign tasks, set deadlines, and ensure the team meets its goals.
  • Conduct regular performance reviews and provide constructive feedback.


Market Research and Analysis:

  • Conduct market research to identify new opportunities and trends.
  • Analyse data on consumer behaviour, sales, and competitors to inform marketing strategies.
  • Prepare and present regular reports on marketing performance and ROI to senior management.


Brand Management:

  • Ensure consistent brand messaging and identity across all marketing channels.
  • Oversee the creation and maintenance of brand guidelines.
  • Protect and enhance the company’s brand reputation through effective public relations and communication strategies.


Customer Relationship Management - Net Promoter Score and Monetisation:

  • Devise and drive NPS methodology
  • Help drive Higher NPS across markets and devise methodology to monetise and scale positive word of mouth


Digital Marketing:

  • Oversee the company’s online presence, including website, social media, and email marketing.
  • Utilize SEO, SEM, and other digital marketing techniques to drive traffic and engagement.
  • Analyse and report on digital marketing metrics to measure success and optimize campaigns.


Sales Support:

  • Lead Generation: Develop strategies to generate high-quality leads for the sales team.
  • Sales Collateral: Create effective sales materials, brochures, and presentations.
  • Dealer Support: Provide marketing support to dealerships, including local campaigns and promotional materials.


Performance Metrics and Reporting:

  • KPIs Monitoring: Track key performance indicators (KPIs) such as sales growth, lead conversion rates, customer acquisition costs, and return on marketing investment (ROMI).
  • Reporting: Regularly report on marketing performance, providing insights and recommendations for improvement.
  • Continuous Improvement: Analyze data to identify areas for improvement and adjust strategies accordingly.


Content Marketing:

  • Content Creation: Develop high-quality content that resonates with the target audience, including blogs, videos, and infographics.
  • Content Distribution: Implement strategies for distributing content across relevant channels.
  • Engagement Metrics: Measure and analyze the effectiveness of content in driving engagement and conversions.

Product Marketing:

  • Product Launches: Plan and execute successful product launches, including new vehicle models.
  • Product Positioning: Develop and communicate unique selling propositions (USPs) for each vehicle model.
  • Lifecycle Management: Manage marketing strategies throughout the product lifecycle, from introduction to growth, maturity, and decline stages.


Qualifications:

  • MBA in Marketing, Business, or a related field from a premier institute
  • 10+ years of experience in marketing, with at least 5 years in a managerial role.
  • Proven track record of developing and executing successful marketing campaigns.
  • Strong understanding of current marketing trends, tools, and techniques across Africa
  • Excellent communication, leadership, and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficiency in marketing software and tools, such as Google Analytics, CRM systems, and marketing automation platforms.
  • Strong knowhow of the West and East Territories with a proven record of scaling a automotive business in the cluster


Preferred Skills:

  • Experience in both B2B and B2C marketing.
  • Strong analytical skills and ability to interpret complex data.
  • Familiarity with graphic design and content management systems.
  • Strong experience with influencer and affiliate marketing.
