Engineer II - Technology Support

Designation : Engineer II - Technology :

- Design, install and configure internal and servers, network devices and firewalls

- Proactively manage and maintain server, network, and firewall systems

- Administer and support core Microsoft, Cisco, Citrix, and VMware technologies

- Monitor system performance, IT system operations and storage utilization

- Design and implement monitoring, configuration management and reporting functions that will make

a hands-off environment

- Define and document best practices and support procedures

- Maintain inventory and asset configuration documentation.

- Assist with hardware, firewall and software vendor evaluation, recommendation, and negotiations

- Plan and execute necessary hardware or software upgrades to support system growth

- Mentor team members and educate users

Qualification : Relevant Degree or Diploma in Information Systems or Information Technology

Relevant Experience : 6 - 9 years of IT system administration experience

Desired Skills & Characteristics :

- Microsoft Certification (MCSE) or equivalent certification in relevant programs desired.

- Cisco Certified Network Associate or Professional - CCNA/ CCNP.

- Advanced knowledge of Windows Server (2012/2016), LINUX/UNIX

- Experienced in Firewall configuration.

- Experienced in IT Support/Desktop administration

- Experience in Windows/AD/DNS/DHCP/WSUS/Windows backup.

- Experience in any endpoint protection administration.

- Extensive experience with MAC systems, vendor management and office administration.

- Experience in Office 365, JIRA, Confluence, administration

- Experience in Azure/AWS administration

- Strong IT acumen related to ERP systems and processes.

- A solid understanding of LAN/WAN networking.

- Active Directory/LDAP user and group administration.

- Ability to troubleshoot network issues including back bone infrastructure issues.

- Should have worked in an ISO 27001 Environment.

- Strong communication and documentation skills
