Responsibilities
1. Client Engagement:
- Collaborate with sales teams to understand client requirements and propose effective eCommerce solutions.- Act as a technical advisor during customer meetings, presenting our solutions' benefits.- Conduct discovery sessions to assess customer pain points, goals, and technical environment.
1. Solution Design:
- Develop tailored eCommerce solutions based on clients' business objectives.- Map client requirements to available solutions, customizing the product where necessary.- Collaborate with product and engineering teams to align solutions with product capabilities.
1. Product Demonstrations and POCs:
- Deliver compelling demos to showcase the value and capabilities of our eCommerce solutions.- Conduct Proof of Concepts (POCs) to illustrate product fit and value.- Gather feedback and adapt presentations to client needs.
1. Proposal Development:
- Draft and review technical proposals, including architecture, system integration, scalability, and security considerations.- Work closely with sales and marketing to ensure proposals meet client expectations and technical standards.- Create clear, persuasive content and presentations that align with client needs.
1. Market and Product Knowledge:
- Stay updated on eCommerce trends, competitor products, and market developments.- Provide feedback to product teams for improvement and future enhancements based on client interactions.- Support marketing efforts by contributing to product positioning and competitive analysis.
1. Relationship Management:
- Build long-term relationships with customers by providing excellent service during and after the sales process.- Act as the point of contact for technical inquiries and support customer satisfaction initiatives.
Qualifications
Educational Background: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Business, or a related field.
Experience: 5+ years in presales or a similar client-facing, technical consulting role, preferably within the eCommerce domain.
Technical Expertise:
- Strong understanding of eCommerce platforms (e.g. Oracle Commerce Cloud, SFCC, Magento, Shopify, WooCommerce) and related technologies.- Familiarity with backend systems such as ERP, CRM, CMS, and their integration with eCommerce platforms.- Basic knowledge of front-end development, APIs, and cloud-based solutions is a plus.
Sales and Presentation Skills:
- Proven ability to engage and persuade customers, presenting complex technical solutions in an easy-to-understand manner.- Strong verbal and written communication skills, including the ability to write proposals and deliver presentations.
Analytical Abilities: Ability to quickly understand client needs, diagnose challenges, and propose optimal solutions.
Teamwork and Collaboration: Ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams, including sales, marketing, and engineering.
