Position Title: Filter Machine – Lead Technician

Reports to: Head of Operations (In dotted to Production Manager)

Department: Production

JOB PURPOSE: Purpose is to Maintain the machine health, productivity, quality to the requirement

  1. Safety:

a. Responsible for the safer working environment.

b. Ensure safety interlocks and guards are active and in working condition.

c. Follow safety protocols during maintenance and break downs.

  1. Production:

a. Responsible for achieving the Production targets.

b. Monitor the machine run-ability and ensure mitigation runnability issues.

c. Ensure machine handover during shift are followed with proper communication.

d. Ensure Daily Maintenance checklist is followed effectively.

e. One point contact to the shift crew for any machine related issues.

f. Record downtime and inspection observations and analyze for further actions.

g. Responsible for all type of format change and ensure machine is set back with required quality and speed within target time. Control over material wastage during setting.

h. Monitor and control rejection level on machine and analyze to reduce the wastage.

i. Ensure productivity norms are followed and shared to the concerned.

  1. Quality:

a. Ensure machine running as per quality requirements before handing over to the production crew.

b. Ensure operators query on quality is attended on time and handed over after resolving it.

c. Inspect product quality as per schedule and record in the production log sheet.

  1. Maintenance:

a. Regularly monitor the health condition of machine and any observations need to be checked and resolved in next maintenance.

b. Ensure all the planned activities are done during maintenance

c. Ensure all the activities are done as per the checklist during Periodic maintenance.

d. Track on the service life of the machine parts and sub-assemblies and ensure replacement before due date.

e. Responsible for periodic overhauling of sub-assemblies.

f. Ensure availability of spares before any periodic overhauling of subassemblies.

g. Inspect spare parts quality and condition before replacement.

  1. Breakdowns:

a. Responsible to attend breakdowns in the machine

b. Ensure all the things put back and handed over properly after attending the breakdown.

c. Monitor the area of breakdown after attending and ensure no further impact on the machine.

  1. Responsible for ordering spares, follow up and replaced on time.

  2. Scheduling maintenance activities during.

  3. Training and development of technical skills to Operators and trainees.

  4. Follow company code of conduct and government regulation in the work place.
