Job Summary:

We are looking for an experienced and motivated Data Science professional to lead a team as an Assistant Vice President (AVP). In this role, you will be responsible for managing and mentoring a team of data scientists, driving initiatives across predictive and descriptive analytics, and delivering insights to solve key business challenges. This position demands strong leadership, technical expertise, and experience working with large datasets and advanced AI solutions on cloud platforms such as AWS/Azure.

Key Responsibilities:

Analytics & Problem Solving: • Apply Predictive Analytics to model and forecast future business outcomes. • Leverage Descriptive Analytics to analyze past performance and identify trends. • Use Exploratory Data Analysis (EDA) techniques to understand complex datasets and identify patterns, trends, and insights.

Data Visualization: • Develop and maintain Tableau Dashboards to communicate key metrics and business insights to stakeholders across various levels.

Cloud & AI Solutions: • Work on AWS or Azure platforms to solve AI-related use cases, implementing robust and scalable solutions.

Leadership & Team Management: • Lead and mentor a team of data scientists, providing guidance on projects and career development. • Coordinate team efforts, ensuring effective delivery of analytics solutions. • Collaborate with other departments, including business units, IT, and other analytics teams to drive data-driven decision-making.

Cross-functional Collaboration: • Work with multiple business units to identify analytics use cases and develop data-driven strategies. • Be a team player who fosters a collaborative and inclusive working environment.

Requirements:

Educational Background: • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Statistics, or a related field.

Technical Skills: • Hands-on experience with Python and SQL for data analysis and modeling. • Proven track record in developing Predictive Analytics models using Python. • Proficient in Exploratory Data Analysis (EDA) techniques. • Familiarity with Tableau for dashboarding and data visualization. • Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS or Azure, especially in solving AI-related problems.

Preferred Skills: • Experience in the BFSI (Banking, Financial Services, and Insurance) domain.

Key Competencies: • Strong leadership and team management skills. • Excellent problem-solving and analytical thinking. • Ability to communicate technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders. • Collaborative mindset with excellent interpersonal skills
