We are looking for a talented and experienced YouTube SEO Specialist to optimize our clients’ YouTube channels and videos for search engines and improve their visibility on the platform. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of YouTube’s algorithms, SEO best practices, and trends, and will be responsible for driving organic growth and engagement. Please note: preference will be given to candidates who have previously managed a YouTube channel.


Key Responsibilities:


Keyword Research :

  • Conduct thorough keyword research to identify relevant and high-impact keywords for video titles, descriptions, and tags.
  • Analyze search trends and competitor content to optimize content strategy.


SEO Strategy Development :

  • Develop and implement SEO strategies to increase organic reach and visibility of YouTube videos and channels.
  • Create and refine SEO-optimized video metadata including titles, descriptions, tags, and transcripts.


Performance Analysis :

  • Monitor and analyze key performance metrics such as view counts, watch time, audience retention, and engagement.
  • Use data insights to adjust SEO strategies and improve content performance


Content Optimization :

  • Optimize video content for SEO by incorporating best practices in titles, descriptions, tags, and thumbnails.
  • Ensure video descriptions include relevant keywords, links, and timestamps.


Algorithm Understanding :

  • Stay updated with changes in YouTube’s algorithms and adapt SEO strategies accordingly.
  • Identify opportunities for improving video ranking based on YouTube’s search and recommendation algorithms.


Thumbnail Optimization :

  • Collaborate with designers to create compelling thumbnails that enhance click-through rates (CTR).
  • Test and analyze different thumbnail designs for performance improvement.


Audience Engagement :

  • Optimize engagement strategies by analyzing comment sections and user interactions.
  • Implement strategies to increase likes, shares, and viewer interactions.


Competitive Analysis :

  • Conduct competitive analysis to understand what is working for other channels and apply best practices.
  • Benchmark channel performance against competitors and industry standards.


Tools and Analytics :

  • Utilize SEO tools such as TubeBuddy, VidIQ, and Google Analytics for keyword research and performance tracking.
  • Create reports and dashboards to track SEO performance and share insights with the team.


Collaboration :

  • Work closely with content creators, video editors, and channel managers to ensure cohesive SEO practices.
  • Provide training and guidance on SEO best practices to other team members.


Qualifications:


Education :

  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Digital Media, or related field (or equivalent experience).


Experience :

  • Preference will be given to candidates who have managed their own YouTube channels in the past.
  • Proven experience in SEO with a focus on YouTube or video content.
  • Demonstrated success in growing YouTube channels through effective SEO strategies.


Skills :

  • Strong understanding of YouTube’s algorithms, SEO principles, and content trends.
  • Proficiency with SEO tools (e.g., TubeBuddy, VidIQ, Google Analytics).
  • Excellent analytical skills and ability to interpret data to make informed decisions.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Creative thinking and problem-solving abilities.

  • Detail-oriented with a passion for staying updated on SEO and YouTube trends.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
