Role Overview

We are seeking a Senior Data Scientist to join our Housing Finance business in Gurgaon. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in credit risk modeling and financial risk analytics, with a proven track record of building and implementing statistical and machine learning models to support credit decision-making and portfolio risk management.

Key Responsibilities

· Develop and implement credit risk models (scorecards, regression models, decision trees, GBM, and other ML techniques).

· Support credit decisioning by analyzing applicant data and creating predictive risk models.

· Conduct portfolio risk analysis to identify trends and improve risk assessment strategies.

· Work with cross-functional teams to integrate models into business processes and systems.

· Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and internal model governance standards.

· Continuously monitor model performance and recommend enhancements for accuracy and efficiency.

Required Skills & Experience

· years of experience in Data Science with a focus on credit risk modeling and financial risk analytics.

· Strong expertise in Python or R, SQL, and statistical/machine learning techniques.

· Experience with credit scoring, risk analytics, or housing finance/lending domain.

· Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.

· Strong communication skills to present findings and recommendations to business stakeholders.
