Job Title: Senior Data Science Manager / Lead AI Scientist Location: Gurugram Domain: Aviation, AI/ML, GenAI, Computer Vision, NLP Reports To: Director of AI / Head of Data Science Experience Required: 8+ years in Data Science, including 3+ years in leadership roles   Job Summary: We are seeking a highly accomplished Senior Data Science Manager / Lead AI Scientist to drive innovation and lead end-to-end development of cutting-edge AI/ML solutions. The ideal candidate has a strong background in GenAI, machine learning, NLP, and computer vision, with a proven track record of delivering impactful, production-grade solutions in a complex enterprise environment such as aerospace, aviation, or manufacturing.   Key Responsibilities: Lead the design, development, and deployment of AI/ML models, including GenAI multi-agent systems, predictive analytics, and recommendation engines. Architect scalable machine learning pipelines using Azure, Databricks, and cloud-native tools (AWS/Azure). Collaborate with stakeholders across engineering, business, and product teams to define data strategies and translate complex problems into AI-powered solutions. Mentor and manage junior data scientists, establish training programs, and lead performance evaluations and sprint planning. Present strategic insights and data-driven recommendations to C-level executives and cross-functional leaders. Implement and optimize MLOps, CI/CD pipelines, and model governance practices. Develop and maintain AI/ML tools for computer vision, NLP, and hybrid recommender systems with high accuracy and business value. Lead R&D efforts to explore innovative technologies like LLMs, knowledge graphs, CNNs/RNNs for CFD, and prompt engineering. Contribute to the organization’s IP portfolio through patents, publications, and conference presentations. Ensure best practices in model validation, testing, and deployment while complying with AI ethics and fairness guidelines.   Key Skills & Technologies: AI/ML/NLP: LLMs, RAG/CAG, Deep Learning, Doc2Vec, XGBoost, Topic Modeling, Object Detection Programming & Tools: Python, SQL, PyTorch, Spark, OpenCV, Tableau Cloud & Platforms: AWS (SageMaker, EC2), Azure, Databricks Databases: SQL, NoSQL, Neo4j, Cassandra, Vector DBs Frameworks: LangGraph, LangChain, FastAPI, Docker, SpringBoot Project Management: Agile, SAFe, Scrum, Sprint Planning, Change Management Soft Skills: Cross-functional leadership, mentoring, strategic thinking, innovation   Preferred Qualifications: Experience in aviation, aerospace, or industrial domains Prior exposure to airline operations, flight management systems, or maintenance analytics Publication or patent record in AI/ML research Experience with data extraction from technical manuals or Jeppesen aviation databases Strong grasp of AI ethics, data governance, and fairness in ML systems
