We are seeking a Finance Manager to lead our financial operations, ensuring the efficient management of Woliba's financial health as we continue to scale. This role is critical in helping the company achieve long-term growth, including the strategic raising of capital to fuel expansion, while optimizing financial processes to support our mission.


Job Overview

As the Finance Manager at Woliba, you will oversee the company's financial planning, budgeting, accounting, and reporting. Additionally, you will be a key player in supporting the company’s capital-raising efforts, engaging with investors, and ensuring our financial models reflect the strategic value of the business. You will collaborate closely with the executive team to align financial strategies with business objectives and ensure the company is on track for sustainable growth.


The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, proactive, and experienced in financial management within the SaaS industry, with additional experience in fundraising and investor relations.


Key Responsibilities

Financial Planning and Analysis:

  • Develop and maintain the company’s financial models, forecasts, and long-term plans.
  • Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports to track performance and guide decision-making.
  • Collaborate with leadership to align financial planning with overall company goals.

Budgeting and Forecasting:

  • Lead the annual budgeting process and provide ongoing forecasts based on business performance and market trends.
  • Monitor and report on variances to budget and provide analysis to explain differences.

Cash Flow Management:

  • Manage cash flow by tracking receivables, payables, and projections, ensuring that the company maintains adequate cash reserves.
  • Implement strategies to optimize working capital.

Compliance and Risk Management:

  • Ensure that the company complies with all financial and tax regulations and filings.
  • Monitor potential risks, recommending actions to minimize exposure.

Capital Raising and Investor Relations:

  • Work closely with the CEO and executive team to develop fundraising strategies for the company’s next stages of growth.
  • Prepare detailed financial models, projections, and investor pitch materials to support fundraising efforts.
  • Conduct due diligence and valuation analysis in preparation for funding rounds (Seed, Series A/B, etc.).
  • Engage with potential investors, private equity firms, venture capitalists, and other stakeholders to build strong relationships and communicate Woliba’s financial health and growth potential.
  • Monitor and report on key performance indicators (KPIs) to investors and provide ongoing financial updates as required.
  • Ensure timely and transparent communication with existing investors, addressing queries and managing financial reporting for investor relations.

Tax Management:

  • Oversee the preparation and filing of all federal, state, and local tax returns, ensuring compliance with all relevant tax regulations.
  • Work with external tax advisors to minimize tax liabilities and ensure accurate tax reporting.
  • Manage tax planning initiatives to optimize Woliba’s tax position, including identifying opportunities for credits, deductions, and other tax-saving strategies.
  • Stay informed about changes in tax laws and ensure that Woliba adapts to any relevant new requirements.

Financial Operations:

  • Oversee the accounting function, ensuring accurate and timely bookkeeping, invoicing, and payroll processing.
  • Collaborate with external auditors to ensure annual audits are conducted smoothly and efficiently.

Cost Optimization and Efficiency:

  • Identify opportunities to streamline financial operations and reduce costs without compromising business growth.
  • Work with other departments to optimize resource allocation and spending.

Strategic Projects:

  • Support the executive team in evaluating potential investments, partnerships, and new revenue opportunities.
  • Lead initiatives around automation of financial processes and integration of financial tools.


Qualifications

Required:

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field (MBA or CPA preferred).
  • 6+ years of experience in a finance or accounting role, with at least 3 years in a management position.
  • Experience in the SaaS or technology industry, ideally within a startup environment.
  • Proven experience in capital raising, investor relations, or corporate finance (including Seed, Series A/B fundraising).
  • Strong understanding of financial statements, modeling, budgeting, and forecasting.
  • Familiarity with accounting software and ERP systems (QuickBooks, Xero, NetSuite, etc.).
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to translate complex financial data into actionable insights for non-finance stakeholders.


Preferred:

  • Experience with SaaS metrics, subscription-based revenue models, and billing systems.
  • Experience working with venture capitalists, private equity firms, or other financial investors.
  • Strong understanding of compliance, tax regulations, and risk management.
  • Hands-on experience with financial process automation and efficiency improvement.
