About the role :

We are seeking a highly skilled IT Network Engineer to join our team. An ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of networking concepts and be proficient in designing, implementing, and maintaining secure and reliable network infrastructures. You will be responsible for configuring and managing network systems, ensuring their optimal performance, and providing technical support to ensure seamless communication within the organization.

Responsibilities :

Network Configuration & Security:

Configure and set up Cisco Firewalls, VPN Concentrators, and Security Appliances to ensure secure access to critical business applications.

Design, configure, and maintain complex switching environments to optimize network performance.

Set up and configure secure and open wireless networking environments.

LAN Management:

Maintain a thorough understanding of Local Area Networking (LAN) technologies and ensure proper configuration and optimization of LAN setups.

Network Systems Management:

Install and configure client network software for the upgrading and maintenance of network systems.

Supervise the administration of network systems to ensure the continuous availability of services to authorized users.

Technical Support & Troubleshooting:

Respond to technical inquiries from vendors, offering support for network-related issues.

Troubleshoot and resolve malfunctions of network hardware, software applications, security systems to restore services in a timely manner.

Communicating with OEMs (Juniper, Aruba & Cisco) to know the latest technologies/demos available.

Manage assigned projects and program components, ensuring that network services are delivered in line with established objectives and deadlines.

Perform any other duties as assigned by management, contributing to the overall improvement and optimization of the network infrastructure.

Who you are :

Proven experience with Cisco networking technologies (routers, switches, firewalls, VPN concentrators).

Strong understanding of networking protocols and services such as TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VPN, LAN, WAN, and wireless technologies.

Experience in designing and configuring complex network infrastructures, including security appliances and wireless solutions.

Ability to troubleshoot and resolve network and hardware issues effectively.

Strong problem-solving skills with attention to detail.

Excellent communication skills and the ability to interact with various teams, vendors and end-users.
