team.In search of a Data Visualization Engineer
in IT field
who will have the opportunity to champion our
Caterpillar IT Division.
The incumbent will be member of a PROJECT / SCRUM Team to help maximize / optimize the value of the product. They will engage with business partners, internal and support teams to provide data visualization development services for a wide variety of projects and business needs.The preference for this role is to be based out of
Bangalore & Chennai -IndiaWhat you will doJob Roles and ResponsibilitiesFormulate & Implement BI COE standards and best practices for report development for all the BI Tools (Power BI, Tableau, ThoughtSpot, Cognos and Bobj)Partner closely with Data Scientists in assessing, developing, and implementing new predictive models and advanced analytical solutions.Design and develop BI reports by implementing Governance methodology to improve report load/extract times and achieve maximum performance.Provide front line support to customers when needed as part of helping them in improving report performance.Refine and automate processes, track issues, and document changes.Help customers in identifying the right type of BI tool based on their business needs.Develop and help customers with Advanced Analytics data models.What you will haveseeking a Data Visualization Engineer
with Overall 7+ years of experience in IT field3+ years of experience in Report design and development along with supporting highly complex BI applications of strategic or functional importance including integration with data sources.Developing highly automated data refresh processes; best-in-class data visualizations, dashboards, and reports that communicate critical insights to drive decision making.3+ years of experience in relational database design, data modelling, and structured query language (SQL)Experience in multiple business processes or organizations and experience in multiple IT disciplines is also beneficial.Strong verbal and written communication skills, teamwork, analytical and interpersonal skills.Excellent presentation, interpersonal and influential skills with high degree of customer focusStrong troubleshooting, problem solving, conceptualization and organizational skills.Ability to work independently as well as being a collaborative team member.Able to manage own duties including setting priorities.Having good knowledge of Caterpillar policies, standards, and procedures, with broad understanding of Caterpillar’s organization is a plus.Top Candidates will have:Experience in Snowflake, ETL, AWS, and Azure cloud servicesExposure to various tools like Jira, Azure DevOps will be a plus.Computer science educational background and strong experience in IT-related fieldExpert in BI Report & Dashboard development in Power BI and Tableau.Knowledge in multiple BI tools.Additional Info
:The primary locations for this role: Chennai / Bangalore.Employee is also responsible for performing other job duties as assigned by Caterpillar management from time to time.Work Timings

Knowledge of approaches, tools, techniques for recognizing, anticipating, and resolving organizational, operational or process problems; ability to apply knowledge of problem solving appropriately to diverse situations.Level Working Knowledge:• Identifies and documents specific problems and resolution alternatives.• Examines a specific problem and understands the perspective of each involved stakeholder.• Develops alternative techniques for assessing accuracy and relevance of information.• Helps to analyze risks and benefits of alternative approaches and obtain decision on resolution.• Uses fact-finding techniques and diagnostic tools to identify problems.Application Design, Architecture:
Knowledge of basic activities and deliverables of application design; ability to utilize application design methodologies, tools and techniques to convert business requirements and logical models into a technical application design.Level Extensive Experience:• Facilitates in application design reviews and walkthroughs.• Creates and evaluates technical alternatives for complex applications.• Interprets application services such as API; integrates them with technical design.• Develops various, distinct and multiple technical application designs.• Prepares technical design documents and blueprints for applications.• Explores and evaluates application design considerations for multiple technologies.What you will get:Work Life HarmonyEarned and medical leave.Flexible work arrangements
