Purpose of the role:


1. Responsible for implementing the strategy of Contract Logistics business including vendor management, SLA fulfilment, business growth, transport management, and spares management, to exceed customer expectations, timely delivery, maximizing efficiency and profits, ensure safety, and operational excellence

2. Ensure safety standards and metrics are adhered to across all locations and projects

3. Responsible for involvement and completion of Total Employee Involvement initiatives by self


Responsibilities and Accountabilities


  1. Closely work with BD and marketing and IBS teams to identify new opportunities of business and support in winning new mandates in contract logistics
  2. Oversee management of contract logistics projects across locations and clients to ensure agreed service levels are always met with no deviations with minimum cost of service and maximum client satisfaction
  3. Responsible for forecasting emerging markets and set goals for network expansion
  4. Responsible for achievement of revenue, profitability and cost targets as per business plans
  5. Responsible for identifying opportunities for low-cost operation, and implement plans to reduce cost
  6. Responsible for implementation of safety standards across projects to ensure zero incidents and a strong culture of safety implemented across projects / locations
  7. Responsible for implementing processes to maximize conversions of customer enquiries, to ensure maximum profitability and revenue
  8. Responsible for operational controls, measurement and reporting systems to support safe, effective, and reliable operations
  9. Responsible for managing and maintaining the warehouse activities including warehouse inward, outward and cycle count
  10. Responsible for vehicle planning, execution, tracking, and maintenance, for creating trip sheets and route plans, and ensure timely pickup and delivery
  11. Responsible for inbound and outbound operations, including timely notification to customers, and ensure timely and complete delivery
  12. Ensure Service Level Agreements are in line with the guidelines, for achieving the agreed levels of SLA
  13. Responsible for checking and tallying content with the PO
  14. Responsible for timely billing and collection of all payments, as per the agreed norms, to ensure zero debit
  15. Responsible for regularly monitoring the receivables and payables, as per the contract
  16. Responsible for performing weekly cycle counts and daily data updation
  17. Ensure self-involvement and timely and efficient completion of Total Employee Involvement initiatives of Kaizen/Suggestions related projects leading to efficiency gains/ cost reduction
