Responsibilities

• Act as L3 escalation for security incidents and troubleshooting
• Design and optimize firewalls, VPN, IDS/IPS, NAC, and secure access solutions
• Perform policy tuning, vulnerability remediation, and root cause analysis
• Conduct security assessments and ensure compliance with standards
• Mentor L1/L2 engineers and support security operations

Requirements

• 5-8 years of network security experience (2+ years in L3 roles)
• Strong expertise in firewalls (Palo Alto, Fortinet, Check Point, Cisco ASA/FTD) and VPN/IPS/WAF
• Familiarity with network segmentation, zero-trust frameworks, and NAC solutions.
• Solid understanding of TCP/IP, routing, segmentation, and threat mitigation
• Certifications preferred: CISSP, CCNP Security, PCNSE, NSE4+
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent documentation, communication, and teamwork abilities.

Preferences

• Experience with SDN/SD-WAN security and cloud security platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP)
• Knowledge of scripting/automation (Python, Ansible) for operational efficiency
• Exposure to zero-trust network architecture and micro-segmentation

Job Description for L3 Network Operation:

Responsibilities

• Serve as L3 escalation for complex network incidents, performance issues, and outages
• Troubleshoot and resolve advanced problems in routing, switching, wireless, and WAN/LAN environments
• Perform root cause analysis (RCA) and develop permanent corrective actions
• Optimize and maintain enterprise network infrastructure for high availability and security
• Configure, test, and implement changes to network devices (routers, switches, firewalls, load balancers)
• Collaborate with vendors on critical issues, patches, and hardware/software upgrades
• Develop and update network documentation, SOPs, and knowledge base for L1/L2 teams
• Monitor network performance and capacity, recommending improvements as needed
• Ensure compliance with corporate network policies and standards
• Mentor L1/L2 engineers to improve operational capability

Requirements

• 5-8 years in network operations, with 2+ years at L3 escalation level
• Strong expertise in routing protocols (BGP, OSPF, EIGRP), switching (VLAN, STP, VTP), and wireless networks
• Proficiency in firewall, VPN, and network security concepts
• Hands-on experience with network monitoring and management tools (SolarWinds, PRTG, Cisco DNA, Juniper Contrail, Aruba AirWave, etc.)
• Certifications preferred: CCNP, JNCIP, PCNSE, or equivalent vendor certifications
• Strong troubleshooting, analytical, and documentation skills
• Excellent communication and vendor coordination experience

Preferences

• Knowledge of SDN, SD-WAN, or automation tools (Python, Ansible)
• Experience in multi-vendor environments (Cisco, Juniper, Aruba, Fortinet, etc.)
• Familiarity with ITIL processes, ticketing, and change management workflows

Exposure to cloud networking (Azure, AWS, GCP) and hybrid infrastructures
