This role is crucial for developing a robust test bank intended for state testing across multiple US states.Key ResponsibilitiesAssessment Item Authoring: Author high-quality, SME-authored non-multiple-choice assessment items for the test bank, focusing exclusively on High School Biology (Grade 9) content.Use the provided AI tools to generate assessment items and then review and correct them as needed to align with the state standard and meet the DOK rigor requirements.Item Type & Complexity: Author a mix of assessment question types, including multiple-choice, multiple-select, and short-answer questions.Depth of Knowledge (DOK) Alignment: Ensure that all SME-authored non-multiple-choice assessment items align with the specified DOK levels: 50% DOK Level 2 and 50% DOK Level 3 .QualificationsRequiredProven expertise as a Subject Matter Expert, specifically in High School Biology (Grade 9 content level).Demonstrated experience in authoring high-quality, rigorous assessment items for state or standardized testing.Strong understanding of Depth of Knowledge (DOK) levels and experience authoring questions at DOK Level 2 and DOK Level 3 .Familiarity with various question types, including multiple-choice, multiple-select, and short-answer, fill the blanks, matching list, choice matrix, etc .High accuracy and turnaround time, as this is a very short project.Ability to work within the Canvas LMS environment and follow specific content delivery requirements.
