Job Title: Cloud Network Engineer

Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled Cloud Network Engineer with a minimum of 8 years of experience in Public Cloud and Networking. The ideal candidate will have specific expertise in Palo Alto Firewalls and Cisco Routers (3+ years each) and should possess a solid understanding of BGP routing protocol, hybrid public cloud environments, and cloud platforms such as AWS and Azure. Responsibilities include troubleshooting high-priority incidents, driving architectural improvements, ensuring compliance with configuration controls, and optimizing public cloud service delivery. Proficiency in ITIL ITSM tools like ServiceNow and strong communication skills are essential.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Public Cloud & Networking Expertise : Minimum of 6 years of experience in public cloud and networking roles.
  • Firewall & Router Management :
  • At least 3+ years of hands-on experience with Palo Alto Firewalls and Cisco Routers.
  • Proven ability to troubleshoot and manage Cisco ASA Firewalls and Palo Alto Networks Firewalls, as well as general cloud security measures.
  • BGP Routing & Hybrid Cloud Knowledge :
  • Practical knowledge of BGP routing protocols and experience in managing hybrid public cloud environments.
  • Cloud Platforms :
  • Proficient in AWS, focusing on networking elements such as VPC, VPN, Direct Connect, Transit Gateway, and security groups. An AWS Certified Associate certification is preferred.
  • Experience in Azure Networking, including VNET and Express Route configurations.
  • Incident & Priority Ticket Resolution :
  • Demonstrated ability to resolve Priority 1 tickets independently (e.g., production network outages) and effectively drive incident resolution calls.
  • Architectural Improvements :
  • Identify and drive architectural improvements and standardization in infrastructure and security environments.
  • Configuration & Change Management :
  • Ensure control mechanisms are in place for all configuration items and manage authorized changes for assets within the enterprise IT environment.
  • Public Cloud Service Optimization :
  • Collaborate with the Service Delivery Manager to optimize public cloud services, report on service issues, and proactively recommend improvements.
  • Network Connectivity Troubleshooting :
  • Diagnose and resolve network connectivity issues to ensure reliable service delivery.


Preferred Skills:

  • Technical Proficiency :
  • Expertise in managing and troubleshooting Palo Alto and Cisco routers and firewalls.
  • Strong knowledge of BGP routing, hybrid public cloud, and cloud security principles.
  • Cloud Networking Skills :
  • AWS: Proficient in VPC, VPN, Direct Connect, Transit Gateway, and Security Groups.
  • Azure: Experienced with VNET and Express Route configurations.
  • Certification :
  • AWS Certified Associate is preferred.
  • Communication Skills :
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills are essential for effective collaboration and incident resolution.
  • ITIL & ITSM Tools :
  • Familiarity with ITIL practices and hands-on experience using ITSM tools like ServiceNow.
