Job Title: Airframe StructuralAnalysis Engineer

Location:Fort Worth TX

Job Description:

  • Must have experience with CATIA V5/V6/3DX preferred.Other similar solid modeling CAD tools such as Pro/E UnigraphicsSolidWorks etc. will be considered.
  • Must haveworking knowledge of GD&T requirements preferred.
  • Must have proficiency with analytical tools or codes suchas Mathcad MATLAB Python Excel Visual Basic etc. to execute custominhouse macros or results processing techniques.
  • Experience working with product lifecycle management(PLM) software such as ENOVIA to drive productlifecycle.
  • Previous experience working oncross functional engineering programs.

PositionRequirements:

  • Multiplelevels of experience will be considered with at least 5 years ofairframe stress analysis.
  • Must have experiencewith NASTRAN (and visible on the resume)
  • Inaddition experience with at least one analysis pre/postprocessor isrequired including but not limited to: PATRAN HyperWorksFemap.
  • Detailed finite element analysis (FEA)experience focused on metallic laminated composite castingsforgings additive elastomeric or other precisioncomponents.
  • Experience with computer aideddesign or drafting (CAD) tools in preparation of solid models forbuilding FEM.
  • Proficiency with engineeringdesign definition including 2D/3D modeling requirement capture andspecification development.
  • Product developmentexperience with components or systems consisting of but not limitedto structural castings precision forgings laminated sheet tube orthick composites.
  • Proficiency with basicoffice computer software specifically the Microsoft office suite(Word Excel Powerpoint Outlook etc.).
  • Demonstrated ability to work in a team environment andability to articulate technical data and concepts to a wideaudience of individuals of different technicalbackgrounds.

Position Responsibilities:

  • Satisfy static strength stiffness stabilitymargin fatigue life damage tolerance durability thermal performanceload distribution failure modes and effects and otherrequirements.
  • Create detailed Finite ElementModels (FEM) of components and assemblies using appropriatemodeling practices.
  • Resolve various complexstructures and loading environments by applying free body diagramsvarious classical analysis techniques and other idealizedmodels.
  • Support manufacturing and testing ofcomponents and subsystems interpreting technical data and assistingin product improvements.
  • Review detailassembly and installation design definition to ensure compliancewith requirements.
  • Participate in a crossfunctional team environment completing a variety of objectivesdepending on the program lifecycle assigned.
  • Must be able to execute tasks to program schedule andcost requirements.
  • Advance the stateoftheartthrough creative thought personal and team research technicalcompliance and strong analysis skills.
  • Travelto various suppliers may be expected depending on theassignment.
  • Demonstrated ability to organizeand prioritize a variety of activities and tasks while dealing withchange.

Education Requirements:

  • Bachelors Degree in Engineering is required.Major in Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering ispreferred.
  • Masters Degree in Engineering asdescribed above is preferred.
