Position: Airframe Structural Analysis Engineer Location: Fort Worth TX 76118 Duration: 12 Months. Job Type: Contract Work Type: OnSite Shift: 1st shift Job Description: Preferred Qualifications:
  • Must have experience with CATIA V5/V6/3DXpreferred. Other similar solid modeling CAD tools such as Pro/EUnigraphics SolidWorks etc. will be considered.
  • Must have working knowledge ofGD&T requirements preferred.
  • Must have proficiency with analytical toolsor codes such as Mathcad MATLAB Python Excel Visual Basic etc. toexecute custom inhouse macros or results processing techniques.
  • Experience workingwith product lifecycle management (PLM) software such as ENOVIA todrive product lifecycle.
  • Previous experience working on cross functionalengineering programs.
Position Requirements:
  • Multiple levels of experience will beconsidered with at least 5 years of airframe stress analysis.
  • Must have experiencewith NASTRAN (and visible on the resume).
  • In addition experience with at least oneanalysis pre/postprocessor is required including but not limitedto: PATRAN HyperWorks Femap.
  • Detailed finite element analysis (FEA) experiencefocused on metallic laminated composite castings forgings additiveelastomeric or other precision components.
  • Experience with computer aided design ordrafting (CAD) tools in preparation of solid models for buildingFEM.
  • Proficiencywith engineering design definition including 2D/3D modelingrequirement capture and specification development.
  • Product development experiencewith components or systems consisting of but not limited tostructural castings precision forgings laminated sheet tube orthick composites.
  • Proficiency with basic office computer softwarespecifically the Microsoft office suite (Word Excel PowerpointOutlook etc.).
  • Demonstrated ability to work in a team environment andability to articulate technical data and concepts to a wideaudience of individuals of different technical backgrounds.
Position Responsibilities:
  • Satisfy static strength stiffness stabilitymargin fatigue life damage tolerance durability thermal performanceload distribution failure modes and effects and other requirements.
  • Create detailedFinite Element Models (FEM) of components and assemblies usingappropriate modeling practices.
  • Resolve various complex structures and loadingenvironments by applying free body diagrams various classicalanalysis techniques and other idealized models.
  • Support manufacturing and testingof components and subsystems interpreting technical data andassisting in product improvements.
  • Review detail assembly and installationdesign definition to ensure compliance with requirements.
  • Participate in across functional team environment completing a variety ofobjectives depending on the program lifecycle assigned.
  • Must be able toexecute tasks to program schedule and cost requirements.
  • Advance thestateoftheart through creative thought personal and team researchtechnical compliance and strong analysis skills.
  • Travel to various suppliers maybe expected depending on the assignment.
  • Demonstrated ability to organize andprioritize a variety of activities and tasks while dealing withchange.
Education Requirements:
  • Bachelors Degree in Engineering is required.Major in Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering is preferred.
  • Masters Degree inEngineering as described above is preferred.
