We are seeking an experienced IT Service Desk Engineer to guarantee and support the architecture as well as users of our organization.
This person will be the primary line of technical support, ensuring the seamless operation of our computer systems, applications, and network.
Key Responsibilities:- Provide technical support for the organization; diagnose technical problems; research, identify, and document appropriate solutions through JIRA ticketing system.
- Perform regular maintenance and updates on hardware and software systems to ensure a stable and secure environment for all users.
- Support the installation and configuration of IT systems and software.
- Help create, update, and manage documentation of assets, configurations, passwords, processes, etc., and maintain accurate records.
- Assist with on-boarding/off-boarding of employees (i.e., creating new users, configuring laptops, and setting up desks/workstations).
- Manage users access and accounts across platforms such as Azure, Gmail, Slack, and other SaaS applications.
- Assist maintaining organizations endpoint devices through our JAMF and Intune MDM system.
- Train employees on how to use the organization's software and hardware, providing technical guidance as needed.
- Maintain a strict security posture for both office and lab environments.
Baseline skills/experiences/attributes:
- Preferred bachelor's degree in technology, science, engineering, or a related field.
- Proficiency in enterprise class operating systems: Windows, MacOs, and Unix/Linux.
- 3+ years of experience with Azure, Google Workspace, Office 365, JAMF, and InTune.
- 3+ Experience with in-office and web conferencing (Zoom, WebEx, Creston etc.).
- 3+ Experience with ticketing systems (Jira, ZenDesk, etc.).
- Administrative proficiency in Microsoft Azure and Google Admin.
- Experience with Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, File and Print server function.
- Experience with network switches, subnets, routing, and VLANs.
- Experience with iOS and/or Android OS.
- Awareness of emerging cybersecurity trends and threats, and proactive measures to mitigate risks.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a strong willingness to learn.
