Essential FunctionsConfigures, deploys, administers, and maintains Avient’s regional cloud and global network environments, including but not limited to:Cloud RoutingArchitectureSDWANPublic IP ManagementConnectivity (Internet/MPLS etc)Capacity Planning & MonitoringTotal Access OrchestrationCloud FirewallingCloud Network PlatformsIntra Cloud ConnectivityGlobal Data Center NetworkingHyperscaler NetworkingProvide project management for complex site network infrastructure integrations, installations, and upgrades.Ensure that the security, performance, reliability, and efficiency of Avient's cloud network infrastructure is maintained and continually improved.Troubleshoot and resolve all relevant issues identified through monitoring platforms, calls, service desk, and vendor generated tickets in accordance with established SLAs.Act as a liaison between appropriate end users and all other IT Teams via phone, email, and ticketing systems.Provides documentation for all projects, systems, and knowledgebase articles.Support and help maintain relationships with all relevant IT vendors.Participate in the IT strategic process and/or service needs.Ability to work with little or no supervision within global virtual teams.Follow instruction to achieve a high-quality outcome.Flexibility to work within global regional time zones, including to participate in off hours support and weekend on-call status.Potential global travel up to 10%.Other duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Education and ExperienceBachelor’s degree in computer science or related field, or equivalent experience4 - 8 years of professional experience supporting installing and configuring appropriate systems listed above.Leadership experience should include both project management and coordination of others’ efforts.Appropriate Cisco Administration or Engineer level certifications required.Advanced Cisco or similar industry certifications are a benefit.
Additional QualificationsStrong process and internal customer focus.Demonstrated project management skills utilizing tools and established methodologies.Demonstrated knowledge of current and emerging technologies in relevant areas.Excellent oral and written communication and analytical skills required.Demonstrated experience working and collaborating within a global enterprise with diverse teams.Demonstrated infrastructure security focus and best practice working habits.Experience leading and contributing to infrastructure projects within a fast-paced acquisition focused culture.
