Job Summary :
We are seeking an experienced and highly skilled Senior Tableau Developer with over 5 years of hands-on experience in developing, designing, and implementing interactive dashboards and data visualization solutions. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of Tableau’s features, data modeling, and a passion for translating complex data into actionable insights. This is an exciting opportunity to work on challenging projects and contribute to impactful data-driven decision-making in a dynamic environment.
Key Responsibilities :
- Develop and Design Dashboards : Design, develop, and maintain interactive Tableau dashboards and reports for business stakeholders, ensuring that data is presented in a clear, intuitive, and actionable format.
- Data Analysis and Visualization : Analyze business data, define key metrics, and create visually appealing dashboards to help identify business trends, insights, and key performance indicators (KPIs).
- Data Integration : Work with data engineers and business analysts to integrate data from multiple sources (databases, APIs, flat files) into Tableau, ensuring data accuracy and consistency.
- Optimization : Optimize Tableau workbooks and dashboards for performance, scalability, and usability.
- Collaboration with Stakeholders : Collaborate with business stakeholders to understand their reporting needs, provide data-driven recommendations, and ensure the dashboards meet business objectives.
- Mentorship : Provide mentorship and guidance to junior Tableau developers, assisting in their professional development and knowledge sharing.
- Testing & Troubleshooting : Conduct testing and troubleshoot data and performance issues in Tableau reports, dashboards, and data sources.
- Documentation : Document dashboard development processes, data sources, and business rules to ensure transparency and ease of use for team members and end users.
- Continuous Improvement : Stay up-to-date with Tableau’s latest features and best practices to ensure the adoption of innovative techniques and continuous improvement in visualizations.
Requirements :
- Experience : Minimum of 5 years of professional experience working with Tableau as a developer or business intelligence analyst.
- Technical Skills :
- Proficiency in Tableau Desktop, Tableau Server, and Tableau Prep.
- Strong knowledge of SQL, with the ability to write complex queries for data extraction and analysis.
- Experience with connecting Tableau to various data sources (SQL databases, cloud platforms, web services).
- Familiarity with data warehousing concepts and ETL processes.
- Data Visualization : Expertise in developing interactive and user-friendly dashboards, reports, and data visualizations.
- Business Acumen : Strong understanding of business metrics, KPIs, and the ability to translate business requirements into technical specifications.
- Problem-Solving : Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with an ability to identify trends, issues, and opportunities for improvement.
- Communication Skills : Excellent verbal and written communication skills to effectively present complex data and insights to non-technical stakeholders.
- Collaboration : Proven ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams including data engineers, analysts, and business users.
- Certifications : Tableau Certified Associate or higher certification is a plus.
Preferred Skills :
- Experience with cloud data platforms (AWS, Google Cloud, Azure).
- Knowledge of scripting languages (Python, R) for data analysis and automation.
- Familiarity with other BI tools (Power BI, Qlik, etc.) and experience in working in hybrid environments.
